Song of Songs 6:2-13
2“My beloved has gone down to his 1garden, To the 2beds of balsam, To 3pasture his flock in the gardens And gather 4lilies.35I am my beloved’s and my beloved is mine, He who 6pastures his flock among the lilies.”
4“7You are as beautiful as 8Tirzah, my darling, As 9lovely as 10Jerusalem, As 11awesome as an army with banners.5Turn your eyes away from me, For they have confused me; 12Your hair is like a flock of goats That have descended from Gilead.613Your teeth are like a flock of ewes That have come up from their watering place, All of which bear twins, And not one among them has lost her young.714Your temples are like a slice of a pomegranate Behind your veil.8There are sixty 15queens and eighty concubines, And 1617young women without number;9But 18my dove, my perfect one, is 19unique: She is her mother’s 20only daughter; She is the pure child of the one who gave birth to her. The 2122young women saw her and called her 23blessed, The 24queens and the concubines also, and they praised her, saying,
10‘Who is this who looks down like the dawn, As beautiful as the full 25moon, As pure 26as the sun, As 27awesome as an army with banners?’11I went down to the orchard of nut trees To see the plants of the valley, To see whether 28the vine had grown Or the 29pomegranates had bloomed.1230Before I was aware, my soul set me Over the chariots of 31my noble people.”
13“32Come back, come back, O Shulammite; Come back, come back, so that we may look at you!” The Groom “Why should you look at the Shulammite, As at the 33dance of 3435the two armies?
