Song of Songs 6:2-13

2“1My beloved has gone down to his 2garden, To the 3beds of balsam, To 4pasture his flock in the gardens And gather 5lilies.36I am my beloved’s and my beloved is mine, He who 7pastures his flock among the lilies.”

4“89You are as beautiful as 10Tirzah, my darling, As 11lovely as 12Jerusalem, As 13awesome as 14an army with banners.5Turn your eyes away from me, For they have confused me; 15Your hair is like a flock of goats That have descended from Gilead.616Your teeth are like a flock of ewes Which have come up from their washing, All of which bear twins, And not one among them has 17lost her young.718Your temples are like a slice of a pomegranate Behind your veil.8There are sixty 19queens and eighty concubines, And 2021maidens without number;9But 22my dove, my perfect one, is 23unique: She is her mother’s 24only daughter; She is the pure child of the one who bore her. The 2526maidens saw her and called her blessed, The 27queens and the concubines also, and they praised her, saying,

10‘Who is this that 28grows like the dawn, As beautiful as the full 29moon, As pure 30as the sun, As 31awesome as 32an army with banners?’11I went down to the orchard of nut trees To see the blossoms of the valley, To see whether 33the vine had budded Or the 34pomegranates had bloomed.12Before I was aware, my soul set me Over the chariots of 35my noble people.”

13“3637Come back, come back, O Shulammite; Come back, come back, that we may gaze at you!” “38Why should you gaze at the Shulammite, As at the 39dance of 4041the two companies?
