1“1How beautiful 2you are, my darling, 3How beautiful you are! Your 4eyes are like doves 5behind your veil; Your 6hair is like a flock of goats That have descended from Mount 7Gilead.2Your 8teeth are like a flock of newly shorn sheep Which have come up from their watering place, All of which bear twins, And not one among them has lost her young.3Your lips are like a 9scarlet thread, And your 10mouth is beautiful. Your 11temples are like a slice of a pomegranate Behind your veil.4Your 12neck is like the tower of David, Built with layers of stones On which are 13hung a thousand shields, All the round 14shields of the warriors.5Your 15two breasts are like two fawns, Twins of a gazelle That 16graze among the lilies.6 17Until 18the cool of the day When the shadows flee, I will go my way to the mountain of 19myrrh And to the hill of 20frankincense.
