Song of Songs 2:9-17

My beloved is like a 1gazelle or a 2young 3stag. Behold, he is standing behind our wall, He is looking through the windows, He is peering 4through the lattice.

“My beloved responded and said to me, ‘5Arise, my darling, my beautiful one, And come along.11For behold, the winter is past, The rain is over and gone.12The blossoms have already appeared in the land; The time has arrived for 6pruning the vines, And the voice of the 7turtledove has been heard in our land.13The 8fig tree has ripened its fruit, And the 9vines in blossom have given forth their fragrance. Arise, my darling, my beautiful one, And come along!’”

“10My dove, 11in the clefts of the 12rock, In the hiding place of the mountain pathway, Let me see 13how you look, 14Let me hear your voice; For your voice is pleasant, And 15you look 16delightful.”

“17Catch the 18foxes for us, The 19little 20foxes that are ruining the vineyards, While our 21vineyards are in blossom.”

“22My beloved is mine, and I am his; He 23pastures his flock among the lilies.1724Until the cool of the day, when the shadows flee, Turn, my beloved, and be like a 25gazelle Or a young stag 26on the mountains of 27Bether.”
