1“I am the 1 2rose of 3Sharon, The 4lily of the valleys.”

2“Like a lily among the thorns, So is 5my darling among the 6young women.”

3“Like an 7apple tree among the trees of the forest, So is my beloved among the 8young men. In his shade I took great delight and sat down, And his 9fruit was sweet to my 10taste.4He has 11brought me to his 12banquet hall, And his 13banner over me is love.5Refresh me with 14raisin cakes, Sustain me with 15apples, Because 16I am lovesick.6 17His left hand is under my head, And 18his right hand 19embraces me.”

7“20Swear to me, you 21daughters of Jerusalem, By the 22gazelles or by the 23does of the field, 24That you will not disturb or awaken my love Until she pleases.”
