Song of Songs 1:4-7
4Draw me after you and let’s run together! The 1king has brought me into his chambers.” The Chorus “We will rejoice in you and be joyful; We will praise your 2love more than wine. Rightly do they love you.”
5“I am black and 3beautiful, You 4daughters of Jerusalem, Like the 5tents of 6Kedar, Like the curtains of Solomon.6Do not stare at me because I am 7dark, For the sun has tanned me. My 8mother’s sons were angry with me; They made me 9caretaker of the vineyards, But I have not taken care of my own vineyard.7Tell me, you 10whom my soul loves, Where do you 11pasture your flock, Where do you have it 12lie down at noon? For why should I be like one who 13veils herself Beside the flocks of your 14companions?”
