Song of Songs 1:4-7
4Draw me after you and let us run together! The 1king has brought me into his chambers.” “2We will rejoice in you and be glad; We will 3extol your 4love more than wine. Rightly do they love you.”
5“5I am black but 6lovely, O 7daughters of Jerusalem, Like the 8tents of 9Kedar, Like the curtains of Solomon.6Do not stare at me because I am 10swarthy, For the sun has burned me. My 11mother’s sons were angry with me; They made me 12caretaker of the vineyards, But I have not taken care of my own vineyard.7Tell me, O you 13whom my soul loves, Where do you 14pasture your flock, Where do you make it 15lie down at noon? For why should I be like one who 16veils herself Beside the flocks of your 17companions?”
