Romans 6:5-11

5For 1if we have become 2united with Him in the likeness of His death, certainly we shall also be 3in the likeness of His resurrection, 6knowing this, that our 4old 5self was 6crucified with Him, in order that our 7body of sin might be 8done away with, so that we would no longer be slaves to sin; 7for 9the one who has died is 10freed from sin.

8Now 11if we have died with Christ, we believe that 12we shall also live with Him, 9knowing that Christ, having been 13raised from the dead, 14is never to die again; 15death no longer is master over Him. 10For 16the death that He died, He died to sin once for all time; but 17the life that He lives, He lives to 18God. 11So you too, consider yourselves to be 19dead to sin, but alive to God in Christ Jesus.
