Romans 6:3-10
3Or do you not know that all of us who have been 1baptized into 2Christ Jesus have been baptized into His death? 4Therefore we have been 3buried with Him through baptism into death, so that, just as Christ was 4raised from the dead through the 5glory of the Father, so we too may walk in 6newness of life. 5For 7if we have become 8united with Him in the likeness of His death, certainly we shall also be 9in the likeness of His resurrection, 6knowing this, that our 10old 11self was 12crucified with Him, in order that our 13body of sin might be 14done away with, so that we would no longer be slaves to sin; 7for 15the one who has died is 16freed from sin.
8Now 17if we have died with Christ, we believe that 18we shall also live with Him, 9knowing that Christ, having been 19raised from the dead, 20is never to die again; 21death no longer is master over Him. 10For 22the death that He died, He died to sin once for all time; but 23the life that He lives, He lives to 24God.
