Romans 6:18-23
18and after being 1freed from sin, you became slaves to righteousness. 192I am speaking 3in human terms because of the weakness of your flesh. For just 4as you presented 5the parts of your body as slaves to impurity and to lawlessness, 6resulting in further lawlessness, so now present 7your body’s parts as slaves to righteousness, 8resulting in sanctification.
20For 9when you were slaves of sin, you were free in relation to righteousness. 21Therefore what 1011benefit were you then 12deriving from the things of which you are now ashamed? For the outcome of those things is 13death. 22But now having been 14freed from sin and 15enslaved to God, you 16derive your 1718benefit, 19resulting in sanctification, and 20the outcome, eternal life. 23For the wages of 21sin is death, but the gracious gift of God is 22eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
