Romans 6:17-21

17But 1thanks be to God that 2though you were slaves of sin, you became obedient from the heart to that 34form of teaching to which you were entrusted, 18and after being 5freed from sin, you became slaves to righteousness. 196I am speaking 7in human terms because of the weakness of your flesh. For just 8as you presented 9the parts of your body as slaves to impurity and to lawlessness, 10resulting in further lawlessness, so now present 11your body’s parts as slaves to righteousness, 12resulting in sanctification.

20For 13when you were slaves of sin, you were free in relation to righteousness. 21Therefore what 1415benefit were you then 16deriving from the things of which you are now ashamed? For the outcome of those things is 17death.
