Romans 6:16-20
16Do you not 1know that the one to whom you present yourselves as 2slaves for obedience, you are slaves of that same one whom you obey, either of 3sin 4resulting in death, or of obedience 5resulting in righteousness? 17But 6thanks be to God that 7though you were slaves of sin, you became obedient from the heart to that 89form of teaching to which you were entrusted, 18and after being 10freed from sin, you became slaves to righteousness. 1911I am speaking 12in human terms because of the weakness of your flesh. For just 13as you presented 14the parts of your body as slaves to impurity and to lawlessness, 15resulting in further lawlessness, so now present 16your body’s parts as slaves to righteousness, 17resulting in sanctification.
20For 18when you were slaves of sin, you were free in relation to righteousness.
