Romans 10:5-13
5For Moses writes of the righteousness that is 1based on the Law, that the person who performs 2them 3will live by 4them. 6But 5the righteousness 6based on faith speaks as follows: “7Do not say in your heart, ‘Who will go up into heaven?’ (that is, to bring Christ down), 7or ‘Who will descend into the 8abyss?’ (that is, to 9bring Christ up from the dead).” 8But what does it say? “10The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart”--that is, the word of faith which we are preaching, 911that 12if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and 13believe in your heart that 14God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved; 10for with the heart a person believes, 15resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, 16resulting in salvation. 11For the Scripture says, “17Whoever believes in Him will not be 18put to shame.” 12For 19there is no distinction between Jew and Greek; for the same Lord is 20Lord of 21all, abounding in riches for all who call on Him; 13for “22Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”
