9Then I gaveH559anH559orderH559, andthey cleansedוַֽיְטַהֲר֖וּvay.ta.ha.RuH2891the roomsהַלְּשָׁכ֑וֹתha.le.sha.KhotH3957;and I returnedוָאָשִׁ֣יבָהva.'a.Shi.vahH7725the utensilsכְּלֵי֙ke.LeiH3627of the houseבֵּ֣יתbeitH1004of Godהָאֱלֹהִ֔יםha.'E.lo.HimH430thereשָּׁ֗םShamH8033with the grain offeringהַמִּנְחָ֖הha.min.ChahH4503and the frankincenseוְהַלְּבוֹנָֽה׃ פve.ha.le.vo.NahH3828.

Tithes Restored

10I alsodiscoveredוָאֵ֣דְעָ֔הva.'E.de.'AhH3045thatthe portionsמְנָי֥וֹתme.na.YotH4521of the Levitesהַלְוִיִּ֖םhal.vi.YimH3881had not been givenנִתָּ֑נָהni.Ta.nahH5414to them,so the Levitesהַלְוִיִּ֥םhal.vi.YimH3881and the singersוְהַמְשֹׁרְרִ֖יםve.ham.sho.re.RimH7891who performedעֹשֵׂ֥י'o.SeiH6213the serviceהַמְּלָאכָֽה׃ha.me.la.KhahH4399hadgoneH1272awayH1272,eachאִישׁ־'ish-H376to his own fieldלְשָׂדֵ֛הוּle.sa.De.huH7704.

11So Ireprimandedוָאָרִ֙יבָה֙va.'a.Ri.vahH7378the officialsהַסְּגָנִ֔יםha.se.ga.NimH5461and saidוָאֹ֣מְרָ֔הva.'O.me.RahH559, “Whyמַדּ֖וּעַma.Du.a'H4069has the houseבֵּית־beit-H1004of Godהָאֱלֹהִ֑יםha.'E.lo.HimH430been neglectedנֶעֱזַ֣בne.'e.ZavH5800?”Then I gatheredוָֽאֶ֨קְבְּצֵ֔םva.'Ek.be.TzemH6908them together and stationedוָֽאַעֲמִדֵ֖םva.'a.'a.mi.DemH5975them at their postsעָמְדָֽם׃'a.me.DamH5977.

22And I orderedוָאֹמְרָ֣הva.'o.me.RahH559the Levitesלַלְוִיִּ֗םlal.vi.YimH3881thatthey were to purifyמִֽטַּהֲרִים֙mi.ta.ha.RimH2891themselves and comeוּבָאִים֙u.va.'ImH935as gatekeepersשֹׁמְרִ֣ים הַשְּׁעָרִ֔יםsho.me.Rim ha.she.'a.RimH8104 H8179to sanctifyלְקַדֵּ֖שׁle.ka.DeshH6942the Sabbathהַשַּׁבָּ֑תha.sha.BatH7676dayי֣וֹםYomH3117. 29Rememberזָכְרָ֥הza.khe.RahH2142them, my Godאֱלֹהָ֑י'e.lo.HaiH430,becauseעַ֚ל'alH5921they have defiledגָּאֳלֵ֣יgo.'o.LeiH1352the priesthoodהַכְּהֻנָּ֔הha.ke.hu.NahH3550and thecovenantוּבְרִ֥יתu.ve.RitH1285of the priesthoodהַכְּהֻנָּ֖הha.ke.hu.NahH3550and the Levitesוְהַלְוִיִּֽם׃ve.hal.vi.YimH3881.

30So I purifiedוְטִֽהַרְתִּ֖יםve.ti.har.TimH2891them from everythingמִכָּל־mi.kolH3605foreignנֵכָ֑רne.KharH5236,and assignedוָאַעֲמִ֧ידָהva.'a.'a.Mi.dahH5975dutiesמִשְׁמָר֛וֹתmish.ma.RotH4931to the priestsלַכֹּהֲנִ֥יםla.ko.ha.NimH3548and the Levitesוְלַלְוִיִּ֖םve.lal.vi.YimH3881,eachאִ֥ישׁ'ishH376in his workבִּמְלַאכְתּֽוֹ׃bim.lakh.ToH4399,
