1“BeholdH2009,I am sendingשֹׁלֵחַ֙sho.le.aChH7971Mymessengerמַלְאָכִ֔יmal.'a.KhiH4397, and he willclearוּפִנָּה־u.fi.nah-H6437a wayדֶ֖רֶךְDe.rekhH1870beforeלְפָנָ֑יle.fa.NaiH6440Me. And the Lordהָאָד֣וֹן׀ha.'a.DonH113,whomאֲשֶׁר־'a.Sher-H834you are seekingמְבַקְשִׁ֗יםme.vak.ShimH1245,will suddenlyוּפִתְאֹם֩u.fit.'OmH6597comeיָב֨וֹאya.Vo'H935to His templeהֵיכָל֜וֹhei.kha.LoH1964; and themessengerוּמַלְאַ֨ךְu.mal.'AkhH4397of the covenantהַבְּרִ֜יתha.be.RitH1285,in whomאֲשֶׁר־'a.Sher-H834you delightחֲפֵצִים֙cha.fe.TzimH2655,beholdH2009,He is comingבָ֔אVa'H935,”saysאָמַ֖ר'a.MarH559the Lordיְהוָ֥הYah.wehH3068of armiesצְבָאֽוֹת׃tze.va.'otH6635.

2“But whoוּמִ֤יu.MiH4310canendureמְכַלְכֵּל֙me.khal.KelH3557the dayי֣וֹםYomH3117of His comingבּוֹא֔וֹbo.'OH935?And whoוּמִ֥יu.MiH4310can standהָעֹמֵ֖דha.'o.MedH5975when He appearsבְּהֵרָֽאוֹת֑וֹbe.he.ra.'o.ToH7200? For He is like arefiner’sמְצָרֵ֔ףme.tza.RefH6884fireכְּאֵ֣שׁke.'EshH784,and like launderer’sמְכַבְּסִֽים׃me.kha.be.SimH3526soapוּכְבֹרִ֖יתu.khe.vo.RitH1287.

3And He will sitוְיָשַׁ֨בve.ya.ShavH3427as a smelterמְצָרֵ֤ףme.tza.RefH6884and purifierוּמְטַהֵר֙u.me.ta.HerH2891of silverכֶּ֔סֶףKe.sefH3701, and He willpurifyוְטִהַ֤רve.ti.HarH2891the sonsבְּנֵֽי־be.nei-H1121of Leviלֵוִי֙le.ViH3878and refineוְזִקַּ֣קve.zi.KakH2212them like goldכַּזָּהָ֖בka.za.HavH2091and silverוְכַכָּ֑סֶףve.kha.Ka.sefH3701, so that they maypresentמַגִּישֵׁ֥יma.gi.SheiH5066to the Lordלַֽיהוָ֔הla.Yah.wehH3068offeringsמִנְחָ֖הmin.ChahH4503in righteousnessבִּצְדָקָֽה׃bitz.da.KahH6666.

4Then theofferingמִנְחַ֥תmin.ChatH4503of Judahיְהוּדָ֖הye.hu.DahH3063and Jerusalemוִירֽוּשָׁלִָ֑םvi.ru.sha.LimH3389will bepleasingוְעָֽרְבָה֙ve.'a.re.VahH6149to the Lordלַֽיהוָ֔הla.Yah.wehH3068as in thedaysכִּימֵ֣יki.MeiH3117of oldעוֹלָ֔םo.LamH5769,and as in formerקַדְמֹנִיּֽוֹת׃kad.mo.ni.YotH6931yearsוּכְשָׁנִ֖יםu.khe.sha.NimH8141.

5“Then I will comeH7126nearH7126to you for judgmentלַמִּשְׁפָּט֒la.mish.PatH4941;and I will be a swiftמְמַהֵ֗רme.ma.HerH4116witnessעֵ֣ד'edH5707against thesorcerersבַּֽמְכַשְּׁפִים֙bam.kha.she.FimH3784, theadulterersוּבַמְנָ֣אֲפִ֔יםu.vam.Na.'a.FimH5003, against those whoswearוּבַנִּשְׁבָּעִ֖יםu.va.nish.ba.'ImH7650falselyלַשָּׁ֑קֶרla.Sha.kerH8267, those whooppressוּבְעֹשְׁקֵ֣יu.ve.'o.she.KeiH6231thewageH7916earnerH7916in his wagesשְׂכַר־se.kha.r.Sa-H7939or thewidowאַלְמָנָ֨ה'al.ma.NahH490or theorphanוְיָת֤וֹםve.ya.TomH3490,and those who turnH5186awayH5186thestrangerגֵר֙gerH1616from justice and do notfearיְרֵא֔וּנִיye.re.'U.niH3372Me,” saysאָמַ֖ר'a.MarH559the Lordיְהוָ֥הYah.wehH3068of armiesצְבָאֽוֹת׃tze.va.'otH6635.

6“ForI, the Lordיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068,do not changeH8132;therefore you, the sonsבְּנֵֽי־be.nei-H1121of Jacobיַעֲקֹ֖בya.'a.KoH3290,have not comeכְלִיתֶֽם׃khe.li.TemH3615toH3615anH3615endH3615.

7“From thedaysלְמִימֵ֨יle.mi.MeiH3117of your fathersאֲבֹתֵיכֶ֜ם'a.vo.tei.KhemH1you have turnedסַרְתֶּ֤םsar.TemH5493awayH5493from My statutesמֵֽחֻקַּי֙me.chu.KaiH2706and have not keptשְׁמַרְתֶּ֔םshe.mar.TemH8104them.Returnשׁ֤וּבוּShu.vuH7725to Me, and I will returnוְאָשׁ֣וּבָהve.'a.Shu.vahH7725to you,” saysאָמַ֖ר'a.MarH559the Lordיְהוָ֣הYah.wehH3068of armiesצְבָא֑וֹתtze.va.'otH6635. “But you sayוַאֲמַרְתֶּ֖םva.'a.mar.TemH559, ‘Howבַּמֶּ֥הba.MehH4100shall we returnנָשֽׁוּב׃na.ShuvH7725?’

8“Would anyoneאָדָ֜ם'a.DamH120robהֲיִקְבַּ֨עha.yik.Ba'H6906Godאֱלֹהִ֗ים'E.lo.HimH430?Yetכִּ֤יkiH3588you are robbingקֹבְעִ֣יםkoe.'ImH6906Me! But you sayוַאֲמַרְתֶּ֖םva.'a.mar.TemH559, ‘Howבַּמֶּ֣הba.MehH4100have we robbedקְבַעֲנ֑וּךָke.va.'a.Nu.chaH6906You?’ Intithesהַֽמַּעֲשֵׂ֖רha.ma.'a.SerH4643andofferingsוְהַתְּרוּמָֽה׃ve.ha.te.ru.MahH8641.

9You arecursedנֵֽאָרִ֔יםne.'a.RimH779with a curseבַּמְּאֵרָה֙ba.me.'e.RahH3994,for you are robbingקֹבְעִ֑יםkoe.'ImH6906Me, the entireכֻּלּֽוֹ׃ku.LoH3605nationהַגּ֖וֹיha.GoyH1471of you!

10Bringהָבִ֨יאוּha.Vi.'uH935the wholeכָּל־kol-H3605titheהַֽמַּעֲשֵׂ֜רha.ma.'a.SerH4643into the storehouseבֵּ֣ית הָאוֹצָ֗רbeit ha.'o.TzarH1004 H214,so that there may be foodטֶ֙רֶף֙te.refH2964in My houseבְּבֵיתִ֔יbe.vei.TiH1004,and putH974Me toH974theH974testוּבְחָנ֤וּנִיu.ve.cha.Nu.niH974nowנָא֙na'H4994in thisH2088,”saysאָמַ֖ר'a.MarH559the Lordיְהוָ֣הYah.wehH3068of armiesצְבָא֑וֹתtze.va.'otH6635, “ifאִם־'im-H518I do notopenאֶפְתַּ֣ח'ef.TachH6605for you the windowsאֲרֻבּ֣וֹת'a.ru.BotH699of heavenהַשָּׁמַ֔יִםha.sha.Ma.yimH8064andpourH7385outH7385for you a blessingבְּרָכָ֖הbe.ra.KhahH1293untilעַד־'ad-H5704it overflowsבְּלִי־ דָֽי׃be.li- DaiH1097 H1767.
