Isaiah 1:12-17
12When you come 1to appear before Me, Who requires 2of you this trampling of My courtyards?13Do not go on bringing your worthless offerings, 3Incense is an abomination to Me. 4New moon and Sabbath, the 5proclamation of an assembly-- I cannot 6endure wrongdoing and the festive assembly.147I hate your new moon festivals and your 8appointed feasts, They have become a burden to Me; I am 9tired of bearing them.15So when you 10spread out your hands in prayer, 11I will hide My eyes from you; Yes, even though you 12offer many prayers, I will not be listening. 13Your hands are 14covered with blood.
16“15Wash yourselves, 16make yourselves clean; 17Remove the evil of your deeds from My sight. 18Stop doing evil,17Learn to do good; 19Seek justice, Rebuke the oppressor, 20Obtain justice for the orphan, Plead for the widow’s case.
