Isaiah 1:12-17

12When you come 1to appear before Me, Who requires 2of you this trampling of My courts?13Bring your worthless offerings no longer, 3Incense is an abomination to Me. 4New moon and sabbath, the 5calling of assemblies-- I cannot 6endure iniquity and the solemn assembly.14I hate your new moon festivals and your 7appointed feasts, They have become a burden to Me; I am 8weary of bearing them.15So when you 9spread out your hands in prayer, 10I will hide My eyes from you; Yes, even though you 11multiply prayers, I will not listen. 12Your hands are 13covered with blood.

16“14Wash yourselves, 15make yourselves clean; 16Remove the evil of your deeds from My sight. 17Cease to do evil,17Learn to do good; 18Seek justice, Reprove the ruthless, 1920Defend the orphan, Plead for the widow.
