Hebrews 11:13-16
131All these died in faith, 2without receiving the promises, but 3having seen and welcomed them from a distance, and 4having confessed that they were strangers and exiles on the earth. 14For those who say such things make it clear that they are seeking a country of their own. 15And indeed if they had been 5thinking of that country which they left, 6they would have had opportunity to return. 16But as it is, they desire a better country, that is, a 7heavenly one. Therefore 8God is not 9ashamed to be 10called their God; for 11He has prepared a city for them.
