Genesis 1:7-14

7God made the 1expanse, and separated 2the waters that were below the 3expanse from the waters 4that were above the 5expanse; and it was so. 8God called the 6expanse “heaven.” And there was evening and there was morning, a second day.

9Then God said, “7Let the waters below the heavens be gathered into one place, and let 8the dry land appear”; and it was so. 10And God called the dry land “earth,” and the 9gathering of the waters He called “seas”; and God saw that it was good. 11Then God said, “Let the earth sprout 1011vegetation, 12plants yielding seed, and fruit trees on the earth bearing fruit according to 13their kind 14with seed in them”; and it was so. 12The earth produced 15vegetation, 16plants yielding seed according to 17their kind, and trees bearing fruit 18with seed in them, according to 19their kind; and God saw that it was good. 13And there was evening and there was morning, a third day.

14Then God said, “Let there be 2021lights in the 2223expanse of the heavens to separate the day from the night, and they shall 24serve as 25signs and for 26seasons, and for days and years;
