Ephesians 6:1-9

1 1Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. 2 2Honor your father and mother (which is the first commandment with a promise), 3so that it may turn out well for you, and that you may live long on the earth.

4 3Fathers, do not provoke your children to anger, but 4bring them up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord.

5 5Slaves, be obedient to those who are your 6masters according to the flesh, with 7fear and trembling, in the sincerity of your heart, 8as to Christ; 6 9not 10by way of 11eye-service, as 12people-pleasers, but as 13slaves of Christ, 14doing the will of God from the 15heart. 7With goodwill 16render service, 17as to the Lord, and not to people, 8 18knowing that 19whatever good thing each one does, he will receive this back from the Lord, 20whether slave or free.

9And masters, do the same things to them, and 21give up threatening, knowing that 22both their Master and yours is in heaven, and there is 23no partiality with Him.
