Ephesians 3

Paul’s Stewardship

1For this reason I, Paul, 1the prisoner of 2Christ Jesus 3for the sake of you 4Gentiles-- 2if indeed you have heard of the 5administration of God’s grace which was given to me for you; 36that 7by revelation there was 8made known to me 9the mystery, 10as I wrote before briefly. 411By referring to this, when you read you can understand 12my insight 13into the 14mystery of Christ, 5which in other generations was not made known to 15mankind, as it has now been revealed to His holy 16apostles and prophets 17in the Spirit; 6to be specific, that the Gentiles are 18fellow heirs and 19fellow members of the body, and 20fellow partakers of the promise in 21Christ Jesus through the gospel, 722of which I was made a 23minister, according to the gift of 24God’s grace which was given to me 25according to the working of His power. 8To me, 26the very least of all 27saints, this grace was given, to 28preach to the Gentiles the unfathomable 29riches of Christ, 9and to 30enlighten all people as to what the plan of the 31mystery is which for ages has been 32hidden in God, 33who created all things; 10so that the multifaceted 34wisdom of God might now be 35made known through the church to the 36rulers and the authorities in 37the heavenly places. 11This was in 38accordance with the 39eternal purpose which He 40carried out in 41Christ Jesus our Lord, 12in whom we have boldness and 4243confident 44access through faith 45in Him. 13Therefore I ask 46you not 47to become discouraged about my tribulations 48in your behalf, 49since they are your glory.

14For this reason I 50bend my knees before the Father, 15from whom 51every family in heaven and on earth derives its name, 16that He would grant you, according to 52the riches of His glory, to be 53strengthened with power through His Spirit in 54the inner 55self, 17so that 56Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; and that you, being 57rooted and 58grounded in love, 18may be able to comprehend with 59all the 60saints what is 61the width and length and height and depth, 19and to know 62the love of Christ which 63surpasses knowledge, that you may be 64filled to all the 65fullness of God.

2066Now to Him who is 67able to do far more abundantly beyond all that we ask or think, 68according to the power that works within us, 2169to Him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus to all generations 70forever and ever. Amen.
