Ephesians 5:18-32

18And 1do not get drunk with wine, 2in which there is 3debauchery, but be 4filled with the Spirit, 195speaking to 6one another in 7psalms and 8hymns and spiritual 9songs, 10singing and making melody with your hearts to the Lord; 2011always giving thanks for all things in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ to our 12God and Father; 211314and subject yourselves to one another in the 1516fear of Christ.

2217Wives, 18subject yourselves to your own husbands, 19as to the Lord. 23For 20the husband is the head of the wife, as Christ also is the 21head of the church, He Himself 22being the Savior of the body. 24But as the church is subject to Christ, so also the wives ought to be to their husbands in everything.

2523Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and 24gave Himself up for her, 2625so that He might sanctify her, having 26cleansed her by the 27washing of water with 28the word, 27that He might 29present to Himself the church 30in all her glory, having no spot or wrinkle or any such thing; but that she would be 31holy and blameless. 28So husbands also ought to 32love their own wives as their own bodies. He who loves his own wife loves himself; 29for no one ever hated his own flesh, but nourishes and cherishes it, just as Christ also does the church, 30because we are 33parts of His 34body. 3135For this reason a man shall leave his father and his mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh. 32This mystery is great; but I am speaking with reference to Christ and the church.
