Ephesians 5:18-32
18And 1do not get drunk with wine, 2for that is 3dissipation, but be 4filled with the Spirit, 195speaking to 6one another in 7psalms and 8hymns and spiritual 9songs, 10singing and making melody with your heart to the Lord; 2011always giving thanks for all things in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ to 1213God, even the Father; 211415and be subject to one another in the 1617fear of Christ.
2218Wives, 19be subject to your own husbands, 20as to the Lord. 23For 21the husband is the head of the wife, as Christ also is the 22head of the church, He Himself 23being the Savior of the body. 24But as the church is subject to Christ, so also the wives ought to be to their husbands in everything.
2524Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and 25gave Himself up for her, 2626so that He might sanctify her, having 27cleansed her by the 28washing of water with 29the word, 27that He might 30present to Himself the church 31in all her glory, having no spot or wrinkle or any such thing; but that she would be 32holy and blameless. 28So husbands ought also to 33love their own wives as their own bodies. He who loves his own wife loves himself; 29for no one ever hated his own flesh, but nourishes and cherishes it, just as Christ also does the church, 30because we are 34members of His 35body. 3136For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and shall be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh. 32This mystery is great; but I am speaking with reference to Christ and the church.
