Ephesians 4:3-16

3being diligent to keep the unity of the Spirit in the 1bond of peace. 4There is 2one body and one Spirit, just as you also were called in one 3hope of your calling; 5 4one Lord, one faith, one baptism, 6one God and Father of all 5who is over all and through all and in all.

7But 6to each one of us 7grace was given 8according to the measure of Christ’s gift. 8Therefore 9it says, “10When He ascended on high, He 11led captive the captives, And He gave gifts to people.” 9(Now this expression, “He 12ascended,” what 13does it mean except that He also 14had descended into 15the lower parts of the earth? 10He who descended is Himself also He who ascended 16far above all the heavens, so that He might 17fill all things.) 11And He 18gave 19some as apostles, some as prophets, some as 20evangelists, some as 21pastors and 22teachers, 12 23for the equipping of the 24saints for the work of ministry, for the building up of 25the body of Christ; 13until we all attain to 26the unity of the faith, and of the 27 28knowledge of the Son of God, to a 29mature man, to the measure of the stature 30which belongs to the 31fullness of Christ. 14 32As a result, we are 33no longer to be children, 34tossed here and there by waves and carried about by every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of people, by 35craftiness 36in 37deceitful scheming; 15but 38speaking the truth 39in love, 40we are to 41grow up in all aspects into Him who is the 42head, that is, Christ, 16from whom 43the whole body, being fitted and held together 44by what every joint supplies, according to the 45proper working of each individual part, causes the growth of the body for the building up of itself 46in love.
