Ephesians 4:2-16

2with all 1humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another 2in love, 3being diligent to keep the unity of the Spirit in the 3bond of peace. 4There is 4one body and one Spirit, just as you also were called in one 5hope of your calling; 56one Lord, one faith, one baptism, 6one God and Father of all 7who is over all and through all and in all.

7But 8to each one of us 9grace was given 10according to the measure of Christ’s gift. 8Therefore 11it says, “12When He ascended on high, He 13led captive the captives, And He gave gifts to people.” 9(Now this expression, “He 14ascended,” what 15does it mean except that He also 16had descended into 17the lower parts of the earth? 10He who descended is Himself also He who ascended 18far above all the heavens, so that He might 19fill all things.) 11And He 20gave 21some as apostles, some as prophets, some as 22evangelists, some as 23pastors and 24teachers, 1225for the equipping of the 26saints for the work of ministry, for the building up of 27the body of Christ; 13until we all attain to 28the unity of the faith, and of the 2930knowledge of the Son of God, to a 31mature man, to the measure of the stature 32which belongs to the 33fullness of Christ. 1434As a result, we are 35no longer to be children, 36tossed here and there by waves and carried about by every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of people, by 37craftiness 38in 39deceitful scheming; 15but 40speaking the truth 41in love, 42we are to 43grow up in all aspects into Him who is the 44head, that is, Christ, 16from whom 45the whole body, being fitted and held together 46by what every joint supplies, according to the 47proper working of each individual part, causes the growth of the body for the building up of itself 48in love.
