Ephesians 3

Paul’s Stewardship

1For this reason I, Paul, 1the prisoner of 2Christ Jesus 3for the sake of you 4Gentiles-- 2if indeed you have heard of the 5stewardship of God’s grace which was given to me for you; 36that 7by revelation there was 8made known to me 9the mystery, 10as I wrote before in brief. 411By referring to this, when you read you can understand 12my insight 13into the 14mystery of Christ, 5which in other generations was not made known to the sons of men, as it has now been revealed to His holy 15apostles and prophets 16in the Spirit; 6to be specific, that the Gentiles are 17fellow heirs and 18fellow members of the body, and 19fellow partakers of the promise in 20Christ Jesus through the gospel, 721of which I was made a 22minister, according to the gift of 23God’s grace which was given to me 24according to the working of His power. 8To me, 25the very least of all 26saints, this grace was given, to 27preach to the Gentiles the unfathomable 28riches of Christ, 9and to 29bring to light what is the administration of the 30mystery which for ages has been 31hidden in God 32who created all things; 10so that the manifold 33wisdom of God might now be 34made known through the church to the 35rulers and the authorities in 36the heavenly places. 11This was in 37accordance with the 38eternal purpose which He 39carried out in 40Christ Jesus our Lord, 12in whom we have boldness and 4142confident 43access through faith 44in Him. 13Therefore I ask 45you not 46to lose heart at my tribulations 47on your behalf, 48for they are your glory.

14For this reason I 49bow my knees before the Father, 15from whom 50every family in heaven and on earth derives its name, 16that He would grant you, according to 51the riches of His glory, to be 52strengthened with power through His Spirit in 53the inner man, 17so that 54Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; and that you, being 55rooted and 56grounded in love, 18may be able to comprehend with 57all the 58saints what is 59the breadth and length and height and depth, 19and to know 60the love of Christ which 61surpasses knowledge, that you may be 62filled up to all the 63fullness of God.

2064Now to Him who is 65able to do far more abundantly beyond all that we ask or think, 66according to the power that works within us, 2167to Him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus to all generations 68forever and ever. Amen.
