Ephesians 2:8-22

8For 1by grace you have been saved 2through faith; and 3this is not of yourselves, it is 4the gift of God; 95not a result of works, so that 6no one may boast. 10For we are His workmanship, 7created in 8Christ Jesus for 9good works, which God 10prepared beforehand so that we would 11walk in them.

11Therefore remember that 12previously 13you, the Gentiles in the flesh, who are called “14Uncircumcision” by the so-called “15Circumcision” which is performed in the flesh by human hands-- 12remember that you were at that time separate from Christ, 1617excluded from 18the people of Israel, and strangers to 19the covenants of the promise, having 20no hope and 21without God in the world. 13But now in 22Christ Jesus you who 23previously were 24far away 25have 26been brought near 2728by the blood of Christ. 14For He Himself is 29our peace, 30who made both groups into one and broke down the 31barrier of the dividing wall, 1532by 33abolishing 34in His flesh the hostility, which is 35the Law composed of commandments expressed in ordinances, so that in Himself He might 3637make the two 38one new person, in this way establishing 39peace; 16and that He might 40reconcile them both in 41one body to God through the cross, 42by it having 43put to death the hostility. 17And 44He came and preached 45peace to you who were 46far away, and peace to those who were 47near; 18for through Him we both have 48our access in 49one Spirit to 50the Father. 19So then you are no longer 51strangers and foreigners, but you are 52fellow citizens with the 53saints, and are of 54God’s household, 20having been 55built on 56the foundation of 57the apostles and prophets, 58Christ Jesus Himself being the 59cornerstone, 2160in whom the whole building, being fitted together, is growing into 61a holy 62temple in the Lord, 22in whom you also are being 63built together into a 64dwelling of God in the Spirit.
