Timothy 2:14-18

Remind them of these things, and solemnly 1exhort them in the presence of God not to 2dispute about words, which is useless and leads to the ruin of the listeners.

Be diligent to 3present yourself approved to God as a worker who 4does not need to be ashamed, accurately handling 5the word of truth.

But 6avoid 7worldly and empty chatter, for 8it will lead to further ungodliness,

and their 9talk will spread like 10gangrene. Among them are 11Hymenaeus and Philetus,

men who have gone astray from the truth, claiming that 12the resurrection has already taken place; and they are jeopardizing 13the faith of some.
