Timothy 2:14-18
Remind them of these things, and solemnly 1charge them in the presence of God not to 2wrangle about words, which is useless and leads to the ruin of the hearers.
Be diligent to 3present yourself approved to God as a workman who does not need to be ashamed, accurately handling 4the word of truth.
But 5avoid 6worldly and empty chatter, for 7it will lead to further ungodliness,
and their 8talk will spread like 9gangrene. Among them are 10Hymenaeus and Philetus,
men who have gone astray from the truth saying that 11the resurrection has already taken place, and they upset 12the faith of some.
