2 Timothy 1:9-13

9who 1saved us and 2called us with a holy 3calling, 4not according to our works, but according to His own 5purpose and grace, which was granted to us in 6Christ Jesus from 7all eternity,

10but has 8now been revealed by the 9appearing of our Savior 10Christ Jesus, who 11abolished death and brought life and immortality to light through the gospel,

11 12for which I was appointed a preacher, an apostle, and a teacher.

12For this reason I also suffer these things; but 13I am not ashamed, for I know 14whom I have believed, and I am convinced that He is able to 15protect what I have entrusted to Him 16until 17that day.

13 18Hold on to the 19example of 20sound words 21which you have heard from me, in the 22faith and love which are in 23Christ Jesus.
