2 Timothy 1:9-13

9who has 1saved us and 2called us with a holy 3calling, 4not according to our works, but according to His own 5purpose and grace which was granted us in 6Christ Jesus from 7all eternity,

10but 8now has been revealed by the 9appearing of our Savior 10Christ Jesus, who 11abolished death and brought life and immortality to light through the gospel,

11 12for which I was appointed a preacher and an apostle and a teacher.

12For this reason I also suffer these things, but 13I am not ashamed; for I know 14whom I have believed and I am convinced that He is able to 15guard what I have entrusted to Him 16until 17that day.

13 18 19Retain the 20standard of 21sound words 22which you have heard from me, in the 23faith and love which are in 24Christ Jesus.
