2 Corinthians 4:8-16

8we are 1afflicted in every way, but not 2crushed; 3perplexed, but not despairing; 9 4persecuted, but not 5abandoned; 6struck down, but not destroyed; 10 7always carrying around in the body the dying of Jesus, so that 8the life of Jesus may also be revealed in our body. 11For we who live are constantly being handed over to death because of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also be revealed in our mortal flesh. 12So death works in us, but life in you.

13But having the same 9spirit of faith, according to what is written: “10I believed, therefore I spoke,” we also believe, therefore we also speak, 14knowing that He who 11raised the Lord Jesus 12will also raise us with Jesus, and will 13present us with you. 15For all things are 14for your sakes, so that grace, having 15 16spread to more and more people, will cause thanksgiving to overflow to the glory of God.

16Therefore we 17do not lose heart, but though our outer person is decaying, yet our 18inner person is 19being renewed day by day.
