1 Thessalonians 5:5-11

5for you are all 1sons of light and sons of day. We are not of night nor of 2darkness; 6so then, let’s not 3sleep as 4 5others do, but let’s be alert and 6 7sober. 7For those who sleep, sleep at night, and those who are drunk, 8get drunk at night. 8But since 9we are of the day, let’s 10be 11sober, having put on the 12breastplate of 13faith and love, and as a 14helmet, the 15hope of salvation. 9For God has not destined us for 16wrath, but for 17obtaining salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ, 10 18who died for us, so that whether we are awake or asleep, we will live together with Him. 11Therefore, 19encourage one another and 20build one another up, just as you also are doing.
