Judges 2:10-19
10AllH3605 that generationH1755 alsoH1571 were gatheredH622 to their fathersH1; and there aroseH6965 anotherH312 generationH1755 afterH310 them whoH834 1did not knowH3045 the LordH3068, norH1571 yetH1571 the workH4639 whichH834 He had doneH6213 for IsraelH3478.
11Then the sonsH1121 of IsraelH3478 didH6213 2evilH7451 in the sightH5869 of the LordH3068 and 3servedH5647 the 4BaalsH1168, 12and 5they forsookH5800 the LordH3068, the GodH430 of their fathersH1, who had broughtH3318 them out of the landH776 of EgyptH4714, and followedH1980H310 otherH312 godsH430 from among the godsH430 of the peoplesH5971 whoH834 were aroundH5439 them, and bowedH7812 themselves downH7812 to them; thus they provokedH3707 the LordH3068 to angerH3707. 13So they forsookH5800 the LordH3068 and 6servedH5647 BaalH1168 and the AshtarothH6252. 147The angerH639 of the LordH3068 burnedH2734 against IsraelH3478, and He gaveH5414 them into the handsH3027 of plunderersH8154 who plunderedH8155 them; and 8He soldH4376 them into the handsH3027 of their enemiesH340 aroundH5439 them, so that they couldH3201 noH3808 longerH5750 standH5975 beforeH6440 their enemiesH340. 15WhereverH3605H834 they wentH3318, the handH3027 of the LordH3068 was against them for evilH7463, as the LordH3068 had spokenH1696 and 9as the LordH3068 had swornH7650 to them, so that they were severelyH3966 distressedH6887.
1610Then the LordH3068 raisedH6965 up judgesH8199 11who deliveredH3467 them from the handsH3027 of those who plunderedH8154 them. 17YetH1571 they did not listenH8085 to their judgesH8199, for they playedH2181 the harlotH2181 afterH310 otherH312 godsH430 and bowedH7812 themselves downH7812 to them. They turnedH5493 asideH5493 quicklyH4118 from the wayH1870 12in whichH834 their fathersH1 had walkedH1980 in obeyingH8085 the commandmentsH4687 of the LordH3068; they didH6213 not doH6213 as their fathers. 18WhenH3588 the LordH3068 raisedH6965 up judgesH8199 for them, 13the LordH3068 was with the judgeH8199 and deliveredH3467 them from the handH3027 of their enemiesH340 allH3605 the daysH3117 of the judgeH8199; for the LordH3068 was 14movedH5162 to pityH5162 by their groaningH5009 becauseH4480H6440 of those who oppressedH3905 and afflictedH1766 them. 19But it cameH1961 about when the judgeH8199 diedH4194, that they would turnH7725 backH7725 and actH7843 moreH4480 corruptlyH7843 thanH4480 their fathersH1, in followingH1980H310 otherH312 godsH430 to serveH5647 them and bowH7812 downH7812 to them; they did not abandonH5307 their practicesH4611 or their stubbornH7186 waysH1870.
