8From the GaditesH1425 there 1cameH914 overH914 to DavidH1732 in the strongholdH4679 in the wildernessH4057, mightyH1368 menH1368 of valorH2428, menH376 trainedH6635 for warH4421, who could handleH6186 shieldH6793 and spearH7420, and whose facesH6440 were like the facesH6440 of lionsH743, and 2they were as swiftH4116 as the gazellesH6643 on the mountainsH2022. 9EzerH5829 was the firstH7218, ObadiahH5662 the secondH8145, EliabH446 the thirdH7992, 10MishmannahH4925 the fourthH7243, JeremiahH3414 the fifthH2549, 11AttaiH6262 the sixthH8345, ElielH447 the seventhH7637, 12JohananH3076 the eighthH8066, ElzabadH443 the ninthH8671, 13JeremiahH3414 the tenthH6224, MachbannaiH4344 the eleventhH6249H6240. 14TheseH428 of the sonsH1121 of GadH1410 were 3captainsH7218 of the armyH6635; 4he who was leastH6996 was equal to a hundredH3967 and the greatestH1419 to a thousandH505. 155TheseH428 are the onesH1992 whoH834 crossedH5674 the JordanH3383 in the firstH7223 monthH2320 when it was overflowingH4390H5921 allH3605 its banksH1415 and they putH1272 to flightH1272 allH3605 those in the valleysH6010, both to the eastH4217 and to the westH4628.

16Then someH4480 of the sonsH1121 of BenjaminH1144 and JudahH3063 cameH935 to the strongholdH4679 to DavidH1732. 17DavidH1732 wentH3318 out to meetH6440 them, and saidH559 to them, “IfH518 you comeH935 peacefullyH7965 to me to helpH5826 me, my heartH3824 shall be unitedH3162 with you; but ifH518 to betrayH7411 me to my adversariesH6862, since there is noH3808 6wrongH2555 in my handsH3709, may the GodH430 of our fathersH1 lookH7200 on it and decideH3198.” 18Then 7the SpiritH7307 8cameH3847 upon 9AmasaiH6022, who was the chiefH7218 of the thirtyH7970, and he said, “We are yours, O DavidH1732, And with you, O sonH1121 of JesseH3448! 10PeaceH7965, peaceH7965 to you, And peaceH7965 to him who helpsH5826 you; IndeedH3588, your GodH430 helpsH5826 you!” Then DavidH1732 receivedH6901 them and madeH5414 them 11captainsH7218 of the bandH1416.
