1 Chronicles 11:11-20
11TheseH428 constitute the listH4557 of the mightyH1368 menH1368 whomH834 DavidH1732 had: 1JashobeamH3434, the sonH1121 of a HachmoniteH2453, 2the chiefH7218 of the thirtyH7970; he liftedH5782 up his spearH2595 againstH5921 threeH7969 hundredH3967 3whom he killedH2491 at oneH259 timeH6471.
12AfterH310 him was EleazarH499 the sonH1121 of 4DodoH1734, the AhohiteH266, whoH1931 was 5one of the threeH7969 mightyH1368 menH1368. 13He was with DavidH1732 at 6PasdammimH6450 7when the PhilistinesH6430 were gatheredH622 together thereH8033 to battleH4421, and there was a plotH2513 of groundH7704 fullH4392 of barleyH8184; and the peopleH5971 fledH5127 beforeH4480H6440 the PhilistinesH6430. 14They tookH3320 their standH3320 in the midstH8432 of the plotH2513 and defendedH5337 it, and struckH5221 downH5221 the PhilistinesH6430; and the LordH3068 savedH3467 them by a greatH1419 8victoryH8668.
15Now threeH7969 of the thirtyH7970 chiefH7218 menH7218 wentH3381 downH3381 to the rockH6697 to DavidH1732, into the caveH4631 of AdullamH5725, while 9the armyH4264 of the PhilistinesH6430 was campingH2583 in the valleyH6010 of RephaimH7497. 16DavidH1732 was thenH227 in the strongholdH4686, while 10the garrisonH5333 of the PhilistinesH6430 was thenH227 in BethlehemH1035. 17DavidH1732 hadH183 a cravingH183 and saidH559, “OhH4310 that someoneH4310 would giveH8248 me waterH4325 to drinkH8248 from the wellH953 of BethlehemH1035, whichH834 is by the gateH8179!” 18So the threeH7969 brokeH1234 throughH1234 the campH4264 of the PhilistinesH6430 and drewH7579 waterH4325 from the wellH953 of BethlehemH1035 whichH834 was by the gateH8179, and tookH5375 it and broughtH935 it to DavidH1732; nevertheless DavidH1732 wouldH14 not drinkH8354 it, but pouredH5258 it out to the LordH3068; 19and he saidH559, “Be it farH2486 from me beforeH4480 my GodH430 that I should doH6213 thisH2088. Shall I drinkH8354 the bloodH1818 of theseH428 menH376 who went 11at the risk of their livesH5315? For at the risk of their livesH5315 they broughtH935 it.” Therefore he wouldH14 not drinkH8354 it. TheseH428 thingsH428 the threeH7969 mightyH1368 menH1368 didH6213.
20As for 12AbshaiH52 the brotherH251 of JoabH3097, he was chiefH7218 of the 13thirtyH7970, and he swungH5782 his spearH2595 againstH5921 threeH7969 hundredH3967 14and killedH2491 them; and he had a nameH8034 as well as the 15thirtyH7970.
