23SoοὖνounG3767he invitedεἰσκαλεσάμενοςeiskalesamenosG1528them in and gaveG3579them lodgingG3579.And on the nextἐπαύριονepaurionG1887dayG1887he gotἀναστὰςanastasG450up and wentG1831awayG1831with them, andsomeτινεςtinesG5100ofthe brethrenἀδελφῶνadelphōnG80fromJoppaἸόππηςIoppēsG2445accompaniedσυνῆλθονsunēlthonG4905him.

24On the followingG1887dayἐπαύριονepaurionG1887he enteredεἰσῆλθενeisēlthenG1525CaesareaΚαισάρειαν·KaisareianG2542.NowG1161CorneliusΚορνήλιοςKornēliosG2883was waitingG4327for them and had calledG4779togetherσυγκαλεσάμενοςsugkalesamenosG4779his relativesσυγγενεῖςsungeneisG4773and closeἀναγκαίουςanagkaiousG316friendsφίλους.philousG5384.

25WhenὡςhōsG5613PeterΠέτρον,PetronG4074enteredεἰσελθεῖνeiseltheinG1525,CorneliusΚορνήλιοςKornēliosG2883metσυναντήσαςsunantēsasG4876him, and fellπεσὼνpesōnG4098at his feetπόδαςpodasG4228andworshipedπροσεκύνησεν.prosekunēsenG4352him.

26But PeterΠέτροςPetrosG4074raisedἤγειρενēgeirenG1453him up, sayingλέγων·legōnG3004, “Standἀνάστηθι·anastēthiG450up; I tooκαὶkaiG2532amεἰμι.eimiG1510justa manἄνθρωπόςanthrōposG444.”

27As he talkedσυνομιλῶνsunomilōnG4926with him, he enteredεἰσῆλθενeisēlthenG1525and foundεὑρίσκειheuriskeiG2147manyπολλούς,pollousG4183peopleG4183assembledσυνεληλυθόταςsunelēluthotasG4905.

28And he saidἔφηephēG5346to them, “You yourselvesὑμεῖςhumeisG4771knowἐπίστασθεepistastheG1987howὡςhōsG5613unlawfulἀθέμιτόνathemitonG111it is for a manἀνδρὶandriG435who is a JewἸουδαίῳIoudaiōG2453to associateκολλᾶσθαιkollasthaiG2853with a foreignerἀλλοφύλῳ·allophulōG246orἢēG2228to visitπροσέρχεσθαιproserchesthaiG4334him; and yetGodθεὸςtheosG2316has shownἔδειξενedeixenG1166me that I should not callλέγεινlegeinG3004anyμηδέναmēdenaG3367manἄνθρωπον,anthrōponG444unholyκοινὸνkoinonG2839orἢēG2228uncleanἀκάθαρτονakathartonG169.

29That is whyδιὸdioG1352I cameἦλθονēlthonG2064withoutG369evenκαὶkaiG2532raisingG369any objectionG369when I was sentμεταπεμφθείς.metapemphtheisG3343for. Soοὖν,ounG3767I askπυνθάνομαιpunthanomaiG4441for whatτίνιtiniG5101reasonλόγῳlogōG3056you have sentμετεπέμψασθέmetepempsastheG3343for me.”
