21ThenJoramיְהוֹרָם֙ye.ho.RamH3088saidוַיֹּ֤אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559, “GetH631readyH631.”And they madeH631his chariotרִכְבּ֑וֹrikh.BoH7393readyH631.Joramיְהוֹרָ֣םye.ho.RamH3088kingמֶֽלֶךְ־Me.lekh-H4428of Israelיִ֠שְׂרָאֵלYis.ra.'elH3478and Ahaziahוַאֲחַזְיָ֨הוּva.'a.chaz.Ya.huH274kingמֶֽלֶךְ־Me.lekh-H4428of Judahיְהוּדָ֜הye.hu.DahH3063wentוַיֵּצֵ֣אvai.ye.Tze'H3318out, eachאִ֣ישׁ'ishH376in his chariotבְּרִכְבּ֗וֹbe.rikh.BoH7393,and they wentוַיֵּֽצְאוּ֙vai.ye.tze.'UH3318out to meetלִקְרַ֣אתlik.RatH7122Jehuיֵה֔וּאye.Hu'H3058and foundוַיִּמְצָאֻ֔הוּvai.yim.tza.'U.huH4672him in thepropertyבְּחֶלְקַ֖תbe.chel.KatH2513of Nabothנָב֥וֹתna.VotH5022the Jezreeliteהַיִּזְרְעֵאלִֽי׃hai.yiz.re.'e.LiH3158.

22WhenJoramיְהוֹרָם֙ye.ho.RamH3088sawכִּרְא֤וֹתkir.'otH7200Jehuיֵה֔וּאye.Hu'H3058,he saidוַיֹּ֖אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559, “Is it peaceהֲשָׁל֣וֹםha.sha.LomH7965,Jehuיֵה֑וּאye.Hu'H3058?” And heansweredוַיֹּ֙אמֶר֙vai.Yo.merH559, “Whatמָ֣הmahH4100peaceהַשָּׁל֔וֹםha.sha.LomH7965,soH5704longH5704as the harlotriesזְנוּנֵ֞יze.nu.NeiH2183of your motherאִמְּךָ֛'i.me.KhaH517Jezebelאִיזֶ֧בֶל'i.Ze.velH348and her witchcraftsוּכְשָׁפֶ֖יהָu.khe.sha.Fei.haH3785are so manyהָרַבִּֽים׃ha.ra.BimH7227?”

23SoJoramיְהוֹרָ֛םye.ho.RamH3088reinedH2015 H3027aboutH2015 H3027and fledוַיָּנֹ֑סvai.ya.NosH5127and saidוַיֹּ֥אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559to Ahaziahאֲחַזְיָ֖הוּ'a.chaz.Ya.huH274, “There istreacheryמִרְמָ֥הmir.MahH4820,O Ahaziahאֲחַזְיָֽה׃'a.chaz.YahH274!”

24AndJehuוְיֵה֞וּאve.ye.Hu'H3058drewH4390his bowבַקֶּ֗שֶׁתva.Ke.shetH7198with his fullH4390strengthיָד֣וֹya.DoH3027andshotוַיַּ֤ךְvai.YakhH5221Joramיְהוֹרָם֙ye.ho.RamH3088betweenבֵּ֣יןbeinH996his armsזְרֹעָ֔יוze.ro.'AvH2220;and the arrowהַחֵ֖צִיha.Che.tziH2678wentH3318throughH3318his heartמִלִּבּ֑וֹmi.li.BoH3820and he sankוַיִּכְרַ֖עvai.yikh.Ra'H3766in his chariotבְּרִכְבּֽוֹ׃be.rikh.BoH7393.

25Then Jehusaidוַיֹּ֗אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559to Bidkarבִּדְקַר֙bid.KarH920his officerשָֽׁלִשׁ֔וֹshe.lo.shoH7991, “Takeשָׂ֚אsa'H5375him up andcastהַשְׁלִכֵ֔הוּhash.li.Khe.huH7993him into thepropertyבְּחֶלְקַ֕תbe.chel.KatH2513of the fieldשְׂדֵ֖הse.DehH7704of Nabothנָב֣וֹתna.VotH5022the Jezreeliteהַיִּזְרְעֵאלִ֑יhai.yiz.re.'e.LiH3158,for I rememberזְכֹ֞רze.KhorH2142whenyou and I were ridingרֹכְבִ֤יםro.khe.VimH7392togetherצְמָדִים֙tze.ma.DimH6776afterאַֽחֲרֵי֙'a.cha.ReiH310Ahabאַחְאָ֣ב'ach.'AvH256his fatherאָבִ֔יו'a.VivH1, that theLordוַֽיהוָה֙va.Yah.wehH3068laidנָשָׂ֣אna.Sa'H5375thisהַזֶּֽה׃ha.ZehH2088oracleהַמַּשָּׂ֖אha.ma.Sa'H4853againstעָלָ֔יו'a.LavH5921him:

27When Ahaziahוַאֲחַזְיָ֤הva.'a.chaz.YahH274the kingמֶֽלֶךְ־Me.lekh-H4428of Judahיְהוּדָה֙ye.hu.DahH3063sawרָאָ֔הra.'AhH7200this,he fledוַיָּ֕נָסvai.Ya.nosH5127by the wayדֶּ֖רֶךְDe.rekhH1870of the gardenהַגָּ֑ןha.GanH1588houseבֵּ֣יתbeitH1004.And Jehuיֵה֗וּאye.Hu'H3058pursuedוַיִּרְדֹּ֨ףvai.yir.DofH7291him and saidוַ֠יֹּאמֶרVai.yo.merH559, “Shootהַכֻּ֣הוּha.Ku.huH5221him tooגַּם־gam-H1571,in the chariotהַמֶּרְכָּבָ֗הha.mer.ka.VahH4818.” So they shot himat the ascentבְּמַֽעֲלֵה־be.ma.'a.leh-H4608of Gurגוּר֙gurH1483,whichאֲשֶׁ֣ר'a.SherH834is atIbleamיִבְלְעָ֔םyiv.le.'AmH2991.But he fledוַיָּ֥נָסvai.Ya.nosH5127to Megiddoמְגִדּ֖וֹme.gi.DoH4023and diedוַיָּ֥מָתvai.Ya.motH4191thereשָֽׁם׃ShamH8033.

28Then his servantsעֲבָדָ֖יו'a.va.DavH5650carriedH7392him in a chariotH7392to Jerusalemיְרוּשָׁלְָ֑מָהye.ru.sha.Le.mahH3389and buriedוַיִּקְבְּר֨וּvai.yik.be.RuH6912him in his graveבִקְבֻרָת֛וֹvik.vu.ra.ToH6900with his fathersאֲבֹתָ֖יו'a.vo.TavH1in the cityבְּעִ֥ירbe.'IrH5892of Davidדָּוִֽד׃ פda.VidH1732.

29Now inthe eleventhאַחַ֣ת עֶשְׂרֵ֣ה'a.Chat 'es.RehH259 H6240yearH8141of Joramלְיוֹרָ֖םle.yo.RamH3141,the sonבֶּן־ben-H1121of Ahabאַחְאָ֑ב'ach.'AvH256,Ahaziahאֲחַזְיָ֖ה'a.chaz.YahH274becameמָלַ֥ךְma.LakhH4427kingH4427overעַל־'al-H5921Judahיְהוּדָֽה׃ye.hu.DahH3063.

30When Jehuיֵה֖וּאye.Hu'H3058cameוַיָּב֥וֹאvai.ya.Vo'H935to Jezreelיִזְרְעֶ֑אלָהyiz.re.'E.lahH3157,Jezebelוְאִיזֶ֣בֶלve.'i.Ze.velH348heardשָׁמְעָ֗הsha.me.'AhH8085of it, andshe paintedוַתָּ֨שֶׂם בַּפּ֤וּךְva.Ta.sem ba.PukhH7760 H6320her eyesעֵינֶ֙יהָ֙'ei.Nei.haH5869and adornedוַתֵּ֣יטֶבva.Tei.tevH3190her headרֹאשָׁ֔הּro.ShahH7218and lookedוַתַּשְׁקֵ֖ףva.tash.KefH8259out the windowהַחַלּֽוֹן׃ha.cha.LonH2474.

31As Jehuוְיֵה֖וּאve.ye.Hu'H3058enteredבָּ֣אba'H935the gateבַשָּׁ֑עַרva.Sha.'arH8179,she saidוַתֹּ֣אמֶרva.To.merH559, “Is itwellהֲשָׁל֔וֹםha.sha.LomH7965,Zimriזִמְרִ֖יzim.RiH2174,your master’sאֲדֹנָֽיו׃'a.do.NavH113murdererהֹרֵ֥גho.RegH2026?”

32Then he liftedוַיִּשָּׂ֤אvai.yi.Sa'H5375up his faceפָנָיו֙fa.NavH6440to the windowהַ֣חַלּ֔וֹןha.cha.LonH2474and saidוַיֹּ֕אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559, “Whoמִ֥יmiH4310is on my sideאִתִּ֖י'i.TiH854?Whoמִ֑יMiH4310?”And twoשְׁנַ֥יִםshe.Na.yimH8147or threeשְׁלֹשָׁ֖הshe.lo.ShahH7969officialsסָרִיסִֽים׃sa.ri.SimH5631lookedH8259downוַיַּשְׁקִ֣יפוּvai.yash.Ki.fuH8259at him.

33He saidוַיֹּ֥אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559, “ThrowH8058her downH8058.”So they threwH8058her downH8058,and someH4480of her bloodמִדָּמָ֧הּmi.da.MahH1818was sprinkledוַיִּ֨זvai.YizH5137on the wallהַקִּ֛ירha.KirH7023and on the horsesהַסּוּסִ֖יםha.su.SimH5483,and he trampledוַֽיִּרְמְסֶֽנָּה׃Vai.yir.me.Se.nahH7429her under foot.

34When he cameוַיָּבֹ֖אvai.ya.Vo'H935in, he ateוַיֹּ֣אכַלvai.Yo.khalH398and drankוַיֵּ֑שְׁתְּvai.Ye.shetH8354;and he saidוַיֹּ֗אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559, “Seeפִּקְדוּ־pik.du-H6485nowנָ֞אna'H4994tothisH2088cursedH779womanH779and buryוְקִבְר֔וּהָve.kiv.Ru.haH6912her, forshe is a king’sמֶ֖לֶךְMe.lekhH4428daughterבַת־vat-H1323.”

35They wentוַיֵּלְכ֖וּvai.ye.le.KhuH1980to buryלְקָבְרָ֑הּle.ka.ve.RahH6912her, but they foundמָ֣צְאוּMa.tze.'uH4672nothingוְלֹא־ve.lo'-H3808moreH3588 H518of her thanH3588 H518the skullהַגֻּלְגֹּ֛לֶתha.gul.Go.letH1538and the feetוְהָרַגְלַ֖יִםve.ha.rag.La.yimH7272and the palmsוְכַפּ֥וֹתve.kha.PotH3709of her handsהַיָּדָֽיִם׃hai.ya.Da.yimH3027.

36Therefore they returnedוַיָּשֻׁבוּ֮vai.ya.shu.VuH7725and toldוַיַּגִּ֣ידוּvai.ya.Gi.duH5046him.
