4He builtוּבָנָ֥הu.va.NahH1129altarsמִזְבְּחֹ֖תmiz.be.ChotH4196in the houseבְּבֵ֣יתbe.VeitH1004of the Lordיְהוָ֑הYah.wehH3068,of whichאֲשֶׁר֙'a.SherH834the Lordיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068had saidאָמַ֣ר'a.MarH559, “In Jerusalemבִּירוּשָׁלִַ֖םbi.ru.sha.LimH3389I will putאָשִׂ֥ים'a.SimH7760My nameשְׁמִֽי׃she.MiH8034.”
6He made his sonבְּנוֹ֙be.NoH1121passוְהֶעֱבִ֤ירve.he.'e.VirH5674through the fireבָּאֵ֔שׁba.'EshH784,practicedH6049witchcraftH6049and usedH5172divinationוְנִחֵ֔שׁve.ni.CheshH5172,and dealtוְעָ֥שָׂהve.'A.sahH6213with mediumsא֖וֹב'ovH178and spiritistsוְיִדְּעֹנִ֑יםve.yi.de.'o.NimH3049.He didלַעֲשׂ֥וֹתla.'a.SotH6213muchהִרְבָּ֗הhir.BahH7235evilהָרַ֛עha.Ra'H7451in the sightבְּעֵינֵ֥יbe.'ei.NeiH5869of the Lordיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068provokingלְהַכְעִֽיס׃le.hakh.'IsH3707Him to anger.
7Thenhe setוַיָּ֕שֶׂםvai.Ya.semH7760the carvedH6459imageפֶּ֥סֶלPe.selH6459of Asherahהָאֲשֵׁרָ֖הha.'a.she.RahH842that he had madeעָשָׂ֑ה'a.SahH6213,in the houseבַּבַּ֗יִתba.Ba.yitH1004of whichH834the Lordיְהוָה֙Yah.wehH3068saidאָמַ֤ר'a.MarH559to Davidדָּוִד֙da.VidH1732and to his sonבְנ֔וֹve.NoH1121Solomonשְׁלֹמֹ֣הshe.lo.MohH8010, “In thisהַזֶּ֜הha.ZehH2088houseבַּבַּ֨יִתba.Ba.yitH1004and in Jerusalemוּבִירוּשָׁלִַ֗םu.vi.ru.sha.LimH3389,whichH834I have chosenבָּחַ֙רְתִּי֙ba.Char.tiH977from allמִכֹּל֙mi.KolH3605the tribesשִׁבְטֵ֣יshiv.TeiH7626of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֔לYis.ra.'ElH3478,I will putאָשִׂ֥ים'a.SimH7760My nameשְׁמִ֖יshe.MiH8034foreverלְעוֹלָֽם׃le.'o.LamH5769.
8And Iwill not make the feetרֶ֣גֶלRe.gelH7272of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֔לYis.ra.'ElH3478wanderלְהָנִיד֙le.ha.NidH5110anymoreאֹסִ֗יף'o.SifH3254from the landהָ֣אֲדָמָ֔הha.'a.da.MahH127whichH834I gaveנָתַ֖תִּיna.Ta.tiH5414their fathersלַֽאֲבוֹתָ֑םla.'a.vo.TamH1,ifאִם־'im-H518onlyH7534they will observeיִשְׁמְר֣וּyish.me.RuH8104to doלַעֲשׂ֗וֹתla.'a.SotH6213according to allכְּכֹל֙ke.KholH3605that I have commandedצִוִּיתִ֔יםtzi.vi.TimH6680them, and according to allוּלְכָל־u.le.khol-H3605the lawהַ֨תּוֹרָ֔הha.to.RahH8451that My servantעַבְדִּ֥י'av.DiH5650Mosesמֹשֶֽׁה׃mo.ShehH4872commandedצִוָּ֥הtzi.VahH6680them.”
9But they did not listenשָׁמֵ֑עוּsha.Me.'uH8085,and Manassehמְנַשֶּׁה֙me.na.ShehH4519seducedוַיַּתְעֵ֤םvai.yat.'EmH8582them to doלַעֲשׂ֣וֹתla.'a.SotH6213evilהָרָ֔עha.Ra'H7451moreמִן־min-H4480thanH4480the nationsהַ֨גּוֹיִ֔םha.go.YimH1471whomאֲשֶׁר֙'a.SherH834the Lordיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068destroyedהִשְׁמִ֣ידhish.MidH8045beforeמִפְּנֵ֖יmi.pe.NeiH4480H6440the sonsבְּנֵ֥יbe.NeiH1121of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃Yis.ra.'ElH3478.
The King’s Idolatries Rebuked
11“Becauseיַעַן֩ya.'AnH3282H834Manassehמְנַשֶּׁ֤הme.na.ShehH4519kingמֶֽלֶךְ־Me.lekh-H4428of Judahיְהוּדָה֙ye.hu.DahH3063has doneעָשָׂ֜ה'a.SahH6213theseהָאֵ֔לֶּהha.'E.lehH428abominationsהַתֹּעֵב֣וֹתha.to.'e.VotH8441,having doneH7489wickedlyH7489moreH4480thanH4480allמִכֹּ֛לmi.KolH3605the Amoritesהָאֱמֹרִ֖יha.'e.mo.RiH567didעָשׂ֥וּ'a.SuH6213whoH834werebeforeלְפָנָ֑יוle.fa.NavH6440him, andhas alsoגַֽם־gam-H1571made Judahיְהוּדָ֖הye.hu.DahH3063sinוַיַּחֲטִ֥אvai.ya.cha.Ti'H2398with his idolsבְּגִלּוּלָֽיו׃ פbe.gi.lu.LavH1544;
12thereforeלָכֵ֗ןla.KhenH3651thusכֹּֽה־koh-H3541saysאָמַ֤ר'a.MarH559the Lordיְהוָה֙Yah.wehH3068,the Godאֱלֹהֵ֣י'e.lo.HeiH430of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֔לYis.ra.'ElH3478, ‘BeholdH2009,I am bringingמֵבִ֣יאme.Vi'H935suchcalamityH7463on Jerusalemיְרוּשָׁלִַ֖םye.ru.sha.LimH3389and Judahוִֽיהוּדָ֑הvi.hu.DahH3063,that whoeverכָּל־kol-H3605hearsשֹׁ֣מְעָ֔הּsho.me.'ahH8085of it,bothשְׁתֵּ֥יshe.TeiH8147his earsאָזְנָֽיו׃'a.ze.NavH241will tingleתִּצַּ֖לְנָהti.Tzal.nahH6750.
13I will stretchוְנָטִ֣יתִיve.na.Ti.tiH5186overעַל־'al-H5921Jerusalemיְרוּשָׁלִַ֗םye.ru.sha.LimH3389the lineקָ֣וkavH6957of Samariaשֹֽׁמְר֔וֹןsho.me.RonH8111and the plummetמִשְׁקֹ֖לֶתmish.Ko.letH4949of the houseבֵּ֣יתbeitH1004of Ahabאַחְאָ֑ב'ach.'AvH256,and I will wipeוּמָחִ֨יתִיu.ma.Chi.tiH4229Jerusalemיְרוּשָׁלִַ֜םye.ru.sha.LimH3389as one wipesיִמְחֶ֤הyim.ChehH4229a dishהַצַּלַּ֙חַת֙ha.tza.La.chatH6747,wipingמָחָ֔הma.ChahH4229it and turningוְהָפַ֖ךְve.ha.FakhH2015it upsideעַל־'al-H5921H6440downH6440.
14I will abandonוְנָטַשְׁתִּ֗יve.na.tash.TiH5203the remnantשְׁאֵרִ֣יתshe.'e.RitH7611of My inheritanceנַחֲלָתִ֔יna.cha.la.TiH5159and deliverוּנְתַתִּ֖יםu.ne.ta.TimH5414them into the handבְּיַ֣דbe.YadH3027of their enemiesH340,and they will becomeוְהָי֥וּve.ha.YuH1961as plunderלְבַ֛זle.VazH957and spoilוְלִמְשִׁסָּ֖הve.lim.shi.SahH4933to allלְכָל־le.kholH3605their enemiesH340;
15becauseיַ֗עַןYa.'anH3282H834they have doneעָשׂ֤וּ'a.SuH6213evilהָרַע֙ha.Ra'H7451in My sightבְּעֵינַ֔יbe.'ei.NaiH5869,and have beenוַיִּהְי֥וּvai.yih.YuH1961provokingH3707Me to angerמַכְעִסִ֖יםmakh.'i.SimH3707sinceמִן־min-H4480the dayהַיּ֗וֹםhai.YomH3117their fathersאֲבוֹתָם֙'a.vo.TamH1cameיָצְא֤וּya.tze.'UH3318from Egyptמִמִּצְרַ֔יִםmi.mitz.Ra.yimH4714,even to thisהַזֶּֽה׃ha.ZehH2088dayהַיּ֥וֹםhai.YomH3117.’”
