4He removedהֵסִ֣ירhe.SirH5493the highהַבָּמ֗וֹתha.ba.MotH1116placesH1116and brokeH7665downH7665the sacredpillarsהַמַּצֵּבֹ֔תha.ma.tze.VotH4676and cutוְכָרַ֖תve.kha.RatH3772downH3772theAsherahהָֽאֲשֵׁרָ֑הha.'a.she.RahH842.He also brokeH3807in piecesH3807the bronzeהַנְּחֹ֜שֶׁתha.ne.Cho.shetH5178serpentנְחַ֨שׁne.ChashH5175that Mosesמֹשֶׁ֗הmo.ShehH4872had madeעָשָׂ֣ה'a.SahH6213,for untilעַד־'ad-H5704thoseהָהֵ֙מָּה֙ha.He.mahH1992daysהַיָּמִ֤יםhai.ya.MimH3117the sonsבְנֵֽי־ve.nei-H1121of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵל֙Yis.ra.'ElH3478burnedH6999incenseH6999to it; and it was calledוַיִּקְרָא־vai.yik.ra'-H7121Nehushtanנְחֻשְׁתָּֽן׃ne.chush.TanH5180.

5He trustedבָּטָ֑חba.TachH982in the Lordבַּיהוָ֥הba.Yah.wehH3068,the Godאֱלֹהֵֽי־'e.lo.hei-H430of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֖לYis.ra.'ElH3478;so that afterוְאַחֲרָ֞יוve.'a.cha.RavH310him there was noneH3808likeכָמֹ֗הוּkha.Mo.huH3644him among allבְּכֹל֙be.KholH3605the kingsמַלְכֵ֣יmal.KheiH4428of Judahיְהוּדָ֔הye.hu.DahH3063,norH3808among thosewhoוַאֲשֶׁ֥רva.'a.SherH834were beforeלְפָנָֽיו׃le.fa.NavH6440him.

6For heclungוַיִּדְבַּק֙vai.yid.BakH1692to the Lordבַּֽיהוָ֔הba.Yah.wehH3068;he did not departסָ֖רsarH5493from followingמֵאַֽחֲרָ֑יוme.'a.cha.RavH310Him, but keptוַיִּשְׁמֹר֙vai.yish.MorH8104His commandmentsמִצְוֹתָ֔יוmitz.vo.TavH4687,whichאֲשֶׁר־'a.Sher-H834the Lordיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068had commandedצִוָּ֥הtzi.VahH6680Mosesמֹשֶֽׁה׃mo.ShehH4872.

7And the Lordיְהוָה֙Yah.wehH3068was with him; whereverבְּכֹ֥ל אֲשֶׁר־be.Khol 'a.Sher-H3605 H834he wentיֵצֵ֖אye.Tze'H3318he prosperedיַשְׂכִּ֑ילyas.KilH7919. Andhe rebelledוַיִּמְרֹ֥דvai.yim.RodH4775against the kingבְּמֶֽלֶךְ־be.Me.lekh-H4428of Assyriaאַשּׁ֖וּר'a.ShurH804and did not serveעֲבָדֽוֹ׃a.va.DoH5647him.
