Revelation 17:7-11

7And the angel said to me, “Why 1do you wonder? I will tell you the 2mystery of the woman and of the beast that carries her, which has the 3seven heads and the ten horns.

8“4The beast that you saw 5was, and is not, and is about to 6come up out of the 7abyss and 89go to destruction. And 10those who dwell on the earth, 11whose name has not been written in the book of life 12from the foundation of the world, will 13wonder when they see the beast, that he was and is not and will come. 914Here is the mind which has wisdom. The 15seven heads are seven mountains on which the woman sits, 10and they are seven 16kings; five have fallen, one is, the other has not yet come; and when he comes, he must remain a little while. 11The beast which 17was and is not, is himself also an eighth and is one of the seven, and he 18goes to destruction.
