Revelation 16

Six Bowls of Wrath

1Then I heard a loud voice from 1the 2temple, saying to the 3seven angels, “Go and 4pour out 5on the earth the seven bowls of the wrath of God.”

2So the first angel went and poured out his bowl 67on the earth; and it became a loathsome and malignant 8sore on the 9people 10who had the mark of the beast and who worshiped his image.

3The second angel poured out his bowl 11into the sea, and it became blood like that of a dead man; and every living 12thing in the sea died.

4Then the third angel poured out his bowl into the 13rivers and the springs of waters; and they 14became blood. 5And I heard the angel of the waters saying, “15Righteous are You, 16who are and who were, O 17Holy One, because You 18judged these things; 6for they poured out 19the blood of saints and prophets, and You have given them 20blood to drink. They 21deserve it.” 7And I heard 22the altar saying, “Yes, O 23Lord God, the Almighty, 24true and righteous are Your judgments.”

8The fourth angel poured out his bowl upon 25the sun, 26and it was given to it to scorch men with fire. 9Men were scorched with 27fierce heat; and they 28blasphemed the name of God who has the power over these plagues, and they 29did not repent so as to 30give Him glory.

10Then the fifth angel poured out his bowl on the 31throne of the beast, and his kingdom became 32darkened; and they gnawed their tongues because of pain, 11and they 33blasphemed the 34God of heaven because of their pains and their 35sores; and they 36did not repent of their deeds.

12The sixth angel poured out his bowl on the 37great river, the Euphrates; and 38its water was dried up, so that 39the way would be prepared for the kings 40from the 41east.

Armageddon

13And I saw coming out of the mouth of the 42dragon and out of the mouth of the 43beast and out of the mouth of the 44false prophet, three 45unclean spirits like 46frogs; 14for they are 47spirits of demons, 48performing signs, which go out to the kings of the 49whole 50world, to 51gather them together for the war of the 52great day of God, the Almighty. 15(“Behold, 53I am coming like a thief. 54Blessed is the one who stays awake and keeps his clothes, 55so that he will not walk about naked and men will not see his shame.”) 16And they 56gathered them together to the place which 57in Hebrew is called 5859Har-Magedon.

Seventh Bowl of Wrath

17Then the seventh angel poured out his bowl upon 60the air, and a 61loud voice came out of the 6263temple from the throne, saying, “64It is done.” 18And there were flashes of 65lightning and sounds and peals of thunder; and there was 66a great earthquake, 67such as there had not been since man came to be upon the earth, so great an earthquake was it, and so mighty. 1968The great city was split into three parts, and the cities of the 69nations fell. 70Babylon the great was 71remembered before God, to give her 72the cup of the wine of 73His fierce wrath. 20And 74every island fled away, and the mountains were not found. 21And 75huge 76hailstones, about 77one hundred pounds each, came down from heaven upon men; and men 78blasphemed God because of the 79plague of the hail, because its plague was extremely 80severe.
