11And it came to pass, that when the armyחֵ֣ילcheilH2428of the Chaldeansהַכַּשְׂדִּ֔יםha.kas.DimH3778was broken upבְּהֵֽעָלוֹת֙be.he.'a.lOtH5927from Jerusalemיְרֽוּשָׁלִָ֑םye.ru.sha.LimH3389for fearמִפְּנֵ֖יmi.pe.NeiH6440of Pharaoh’sפַּרְעֹֽה׃ סpar.'OhH6547armyחֵ֥ילcheilH2428,

12Then Jeremiahיִרְמְיָ֙הוּ֙yir.me.Ya.huH3414went forthוַיֵּצֵ֤אvai.ye.Tze'H3318out of Jerusalemמִיר֣וּשָׁלִַ֔םmi.Ru.sha.LimH3389to goH3212into the landאֶ֣רֶץ'E.retzH776of Benjaminבִּנְיָמִ֑ןbin.ya.MinH1144,to separateלַחֲלִ֥קla.cha.LikH2505himself thence in the midstבְּת֥וֹךְbe.TokhH8432of the peopleהָעָֽם׃ha.'AmH5971.

13And when he was in the gateבְּשַׁ֣עַרbe.Sha.'arH8179of Benjaminבִּנְיָמִ֗ןbin.ya.MinH1144,a captainבַּ֣עַלBa.'alH1167of the wardפְּקִדֻ֔תpe.ki.DutH6488wasthere, whose nameוּשְׁמוֹ֙u.she.MoH8034wasIrijahיִרְאִיָּ֔יהyir.'i.YaihH3376,the sonבֶּן־ben-H1121of Shelemiahשֶֽׁלֶמְיָ֖הshe.lem.YahH8018,the sonבֶּן־ben-H1121of Hananiahחֲנַנְיָ֑הcha.nan.YahH2608;and he tookוַיִּתְפֹּ֞שׂvai.yit.PosH8610Jeremiahיִרְמְיָ֤הוּyir.me.Ya.huH3414the prophetהַנָּבִיא֙ha.na.Vi'H5030,sayingלֵאמֹ֔רle.MorH559,Thou fallest awayנֹפֵֽל׃no.FelH5307to the Chaldeansהַכַּשְׂדִּ֖יםha.kas.DimH3778.

14Then saidוַיֹּ֨אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559Jeremiahיִרְמְיָ֜הוּyir.me.Ya.huH3414, It isfalseשֶׁ֗קֶרShe.kerH8267;I fall not awayנֹפֵל֙no.FelH5307to the Chaldeansהַכַּשְׂדִּ֔יםha.kas.DimH3778.But he hearkenedשָׁמַ֖עsha.Ma'H8085not to him: so Irijahיִרְאִיָּיה֙yir.'i.YaihH3376tookוַיִּתְפֹּ֤שׂvai.yit.PosH8610Jeremiahבְּיִרְמְיָ֔הוּbe.yir.me.Ya.huH3414,and broughtוַיְבִאֵ֖הוּvay.vi.'E.huH935him to the princesהַשָּׂרִֽים׃ha.sa.RimH8269.

15Wherefore the princesהַשָּׂרִ֛יםha.sa.RimH8269were wrothוַיִּקְצְפ֧וּvai.yik.tze.FuH7107with Jeremiahיִרְמְיָ֖הוּyir.me.Ya.huH3414,and smoteוְהִכּ֣וּve.hi.KuH5221him, and putוְנָתְנ֨וּve.na.te.NuH5414him in prisonהָאֵס֗וּרha.'e.SurH612in the houseH1004of Jonathanיְהוֹנָתָ֣ןye.ho.na.TanH3083the scribeהַסֹּפֵ֔רha.so.FerH5608:for they had madeעָשׂ֖וּ'a.SuH6213that the prisonהַכֶּֽלֶא׃ha.Ke.le'H3608.
