7O Lordיְהוָ֕הYah.wehH3068,though our iniquitiesעֲוֹנֵ֙ינוּ֙'a.vo.Nei.nuH5771testifyעָ֣נוּ'A.nuH6030against us, doעֲשֵׂ֖ה'a.SehH6213thou itfor thy name’sשְׁמֶ֑ךָshe.Me.khaH8034sake: for our backslidingsמְשׁוּבֹתֵ֖ינוּme.shu.vo.Tei.nuH4878are manyרַבּ֥וּra.BuH7231;we have sinnedחָטָֽאנוּ׃cha.Ta.nuH2398against thee.

8O the hopeמִקְוֵה֙mik.VehH4723of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֔לYis.ra.'ElH3478,the saviourמֽוֹשִׁיע֖וֹmo.shi.'OH3467thereof in timeבְּעֵ֣תbe.'EtH6256of troubleצָרָ֑הtza.RahH6869,why shouldest thou be as a strangerכְּגֵ֣רke.GerH1616in the landבָּאָ֔רֶץba.'A.retzH776,and as a wayfaring manוּכְאֹרֵ֖חַu.khe.'o.Re.achH732thatturneth asideנָטָ֥הna.TahH5186to tarry for a nightלָלֽוּן׃la.LunH3885?

9Why shouldest thou be as a manכְּאִ֣ישׁke.'IshH376astoniedנִדְהָ֔םnid.HamH1724,as a mighty manכְּגִבּ֖וֹרke.gi.BorH1368thatcannotיוּכַ֣לyu.KhalH3201saveלְהוֹשִׁ֑יעַle.ho.Shi.a'H3467?yet thou, O Lordיְהוָ֗הYah.wehH3068, artin the midstבְקִרְבֵּ֣נוּve.kir.Be.nuH7130of us, and we are calledנִקְרָ֖אnik.Ra'H7121by thy nameוְשִׁמְךָ֛ve.shim.KhaH8034;leaveH3240us not.

10Thus saithאָמַ֨ר'a.MarH559the Lordיְהוָ֜הYah.wehH3068unto this peopleלָעָ֣םla.'AmH5971,Thus have they lovedאָֽהֲבוּ֙'a.ha.VuH157to wanderלָנ֔וּעַla.Nu.a'H5128,they have not refrainedחָשָׂ֑כוּcha.Sa.khuH2820their feetרַגְלֵיהֶ֖םrag.lei.HemH7272,therefore the Lordוַיהוָה֙va.Yah.wehH3068doth not acceptרָצָ֔םra.TzamH7521them; he will now rememberיִזְכֹּ֣רyiz.KorH2142their iniquityעֲוֹנָ֔ם'a.vo.NamH5771,and visitוְיִפְקֹ֖דve.yif.KodH6485their sinsחַטֹּאתָֽם׃ סcha.to.TamH2403.

11Then saidוַיֹּ֥אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559the Lordיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068unto me, Prayתִּתְפַּלֵּ֛לtit.pa.LelH6419not for this peopleהָעָ֥םha.'AmH5971for theirgoodלְטוֹבָֽה׃le.to.VahH2896.

12When they fastיָצֻ֗מוּya.Tzu.muH6684,I will not hearשֹׁמֵ֙עַ֙sho.Me.a'H8085their cryרִנָּתָ֔םri.na.TamH7440;and when they offerיַעֲל֛וּya.'a.LuH5927burnt offeringעֹלָ֥ה'o.LahH5930and an oblationוּמִנְחָ֖הu.min.ChahH4503,I will not acceptרֹצָ֑םro.TzamH7521them: but I will consumeמְכַלֶּ֥הme.kha.LehH3615them by the swordבַּחֶ֙רֶב֙ba.Che.revH2719,and by the famineוּבָרָעָ֣בu.va.ra.'AvH7458,and by the pestilenceוּבַדֶּ֔בֶרu.va.De.verH1698.

13Then saidוָאֹמַ֞רva.'o.MarH559I, Ahאֲהָ֣הּ׀'a.HahH162,Lordאֲדֹנָ֣י'a.do.NaiH136Godיְהוִ֗הYah.wehH3069!behold, the prophetsהַנְּבִאִ֜יםha.ne.vi.'ImH5030sayאֹמְרִ֤ים'o.me.RimH559unto them, Ye shall not seeתִרְא֣וּtir.'UH7200the swordחֶ֔רֶבChe.revH2719,neither shall ye have famineוְרָעָ֖בve.ra.'AvH7458;but I will giveאֶתֵּ֣ן'e.TenH5414you assuredאֱמֶת֙'e.MetH571peaceשְׁל֤וֹםshe.LomH7965in this placeבַּמָּק֖וֹםba.ma.KomH4725.

14Then the Lordיְהוָ֜הYah.wehH3068saidוַיֹּ֨אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559unto me, The prophetsהַנְּבִאִים֙ha.ne.vi.'ImH5030prophesyנִבְּאִ֣יםni.be.'ImH5012liesשֶׁ֚קֶרShe.kerH8267in my nameבִּשְׁמִ֔יbish.MiH8034:I sentשְׁלַחְתִּים֙she.lach.TimH7971them not, neither have I commandedצִוִּיתִ֔יםtzi.vi.TimH6680them, neither spakeדִבַּ֖רְתִּיdi.Bar.tiH1696unto them: they prophesyמִֽתְנַבְּאִ֥יםmit.na.be.'ImH5012unto you a falseשֶׁ֜קֶרShe.kerH8267visionחֲז֨וֹןcha.ZonH2377and divinationוְקֶ֤סֶםve.Ke.semH7081,and a thing of noughtוֶֽאֱלִיל֙ve.'e.lulH434 H457,and the deceitוְתַרְמִ֣יתve.tar.mutH8649of their heartלִבָּ֔םli.BamH3820.

15Therefore thus saithאָמַ֣ר'a.MarH559the Lordיְהוָ֗הYah.wehH3068concerning the prophetsהַנְּבִאִ֞יםha.ne.vi.'ImH5030that prophesyהַנִּבְּאִ֣יםha.ni.be.'ImH5012in my nameבִּשְׁמִי֮bish.MiH8034,and I sentשְׁלַחְתִּים֒she.lach.TimH7971them not, yet they sayאֹֽמְרִ֔ים'o.me.RimH559,Swordחֶ֣רֶבChe.revH2719and famineוְרָעָ֔בve.ra.'AvH7458shall not be in this landבָּאָ֣רֶץba.'A.retzH776;By swordבַּחֶ֤רֶבba.Che.revH2719and famineוּבָֽרָעָב֙u.va.ra.'AvH7458shall those prophetsהַנְּבִאִ֖יםha.ne.vi.'ImH5030be consumedיִתַּ֔מּוּyi.Ta.muH8552.

16And the peopleוְהָעָ֣םve.ha.'AmH5971to whom they prophesyנִבְּאִ֣יםni.be.'ImH5012shall be cast outמֻשְׁלָכִים֩mush.la.KhimH7993in the streetsבְּחֻצ֨וֹתbe.chu.TzotH2351of Jerusalemיְרוּשָׁלִַ֜םye.ru.sha.LimH3389becauseמִפְּנֵ֣י׀mi.pe.NeiH6440of the famineהָרָעָ֣בha.ra.'AvH7458and the swordוְהַחֶ֗רֶבve.ha.Che.revH2719;and they shall have none to buryמְקַבֵּר֙me.ka.BerH6912themH1992,them, their wivesנְשֵׁיהֶ֔םne.shei.HemH802,nor their sonsוּבְנֵיהֶ֖םu.ve.nei.HemH1121,nor their daughtersוּבְנֹֽתֵיהֶ֑םu.ve.no.tei.HemH1323:for I will pourוְשָׁפַכְתִּ֥יve.sha.fakh.TiH8210their wickednessרָעָתָֽם׃ra.'a.TamH7451upon them.

17Therefore thou shalt sayוְאָמַרְתָּ֤ve.'a.mar.TaH559this wordהַדָּבָ֣רha.da.VarH1697unto them; Let mine eyesעֵינַ֥י'ei.NaiH5869run downתֵּרַ֨דְנָהte.Rad.nahH3381with tearsדִּמְעָ֛הdim.'AhH1832nightלַ֥יְלָהLay.lahH3915and dayוְיוֹמָ֖םve.yo.MamH3119,and let them not ceaseתִּדְמֶ֑ינָהtid.Mei.nahH1820:for the virginבְּתוּלַת֙be.tu.LatH1330daughterבַּת־bat-H1323of my peopleעַמִּ֔י'a.MiH5971is brokenנִשְׁבְּרָ֗הnish.be.RahH7665with a greatגָּד֜וֹלga.DolH1419breachשֶׁ֨בֶרShe.verH7667,with a veryמְאֹֽד׃me.'OdH3966grievousנַחְלָ֥הnach.LahH2470blowמַכָּ֖הma.KahH4347.

18If I go forthיָצָ֣אתִיya.Tza.tiH3318into the fieldהַשָּׂדֶ֗הha.sa.DehH7704,then behold the slainחַלְלֵי־cha.lei-H2491with the swordחֶ֔רֶבChe.revH2719!and if I enterבָּ֣אתִיBa.tiH935into the cityהָעִ֔ירha.'IrH5892,then behold them that are sickתַּחֲלוּאֵ֣יta.cha.lu.'EiH8463with famineרָעָ֑בra.'AvH7458!yea, both the prophetנָבִ֧יאna.Vi'H5030and the priestכֹּהֵ֛ןko.HenH3548go aboutסָחֲר֥וּsa.cha.RuH5503into a landאֶ֖רֶץ'E.retzH776that they knowיָדָֽעוּ׃ סya.Da.'uH3045not.

19Hast thou utterlyהֲמָאֹ֨סha.ma.'OsH3988rejectedמָאַ֜סְתָּma.'As.taH3988Judahיְהוּדָ֗הye.hu.DahH3063?hath thy soulנַפְשֶׁ֔ךָnaf.She.khaH5315lothedגָּעֲלָ֣הga.'a.LahH1602Zionבְּצִיּוֹן֙be.tzi.yOnH6726?why hast thou smittenהִכִּיתָ֔נוּhi.ki.Ta.nuH5221us, and there isno healingמַרְפֵּ֑אmar.Pe'H4832for us? we lookedקַוֵּ֤הka.VehH6960for peaceלְשָׁלוֹם֙le.sha.lOmH7965, and there isno goodט֔וֹבTovH2896;and for the timeוּלְעֵ֥תu.le.'EtH6256of healingמַרְפֵּ֖אmar.Pe'H4832,and behold troubleבְעָתָֽה׃ve.'a.TahH1205!

20We acknowledgeיָדַ֧עְנוּya.Da'.nuH3045,O Lordיְהוָ֛הYah.wehH3068,our wickednessרִשְׁעֵ֖נוּrish.'E.nuH7562, andthe iniquityעֲוֹ֣ן'a.VonH5771of our fathersאֲבוֹתֵ֑ינוּ'a.vo.Tei.nuH1:for we have sinnedחָטָ֖אנוּcha.Ta.nuH2398against thee.

21Do not abhorתִּנְאַץ֙tin.'AtzH5006us,for thy name’sשִׁמְךָ֔shim.KhaH8034sake, do not disgraceתְּנַבֵּ֖לte.na.BelH5034the throneכִּסֵּ֣אki.Se'H3678of thy gloryכְבוֹדֶ֑ךָkhe.vo.De.khaH3519:rememberזְכֹ֕רze.KhorH2142,breakתָּפֵ֥רta.FerH6565not thy covenantבְּרִֽיתְךָ֖be.ri.te.KhaH1285with us.

22Are thereהֲיֵ֨שׁha.YeshH3426anyamong the vanitiesבְּהַבְלֵ֤יbe.hav.LeiH1892of the Gentilesהַגּוֹיִם֙ha.go.YimH1471that can cause rainמַגְשִׁמִ֔יםmag.shi.MimH1652?or can the heavensהַשָּׁמַ֖יִםha.sha.Ma.yimH8064giveיִתְּנ֣וּyi.te.NuH5414showersרְבִבִ֑יםre.vi.VimH7241? artnot thou he, O Lordיְהוָ֤הYah.wehH3068our Godאֱלֹהֵ֙ינוּ֙'e.lo.Hei.nuH430?therefore we will waitוּ֨נְקַוֶּה־U.ne.ka.veh-H6960upon thee: for thou hast madeעָשִׂ֖יתָ'a.Si.taH6213all these things.
