1And the Lordיְהוָ֤הYah.wehH3068saidוַיְדַבֵּ֨רvay.da.BerH1696unto Mosesמֹשֶׁה֙mo.ShehH4872,DepartH3212, andgo upעֲלֵ֣ה'a.LehH5927hence, thou and the peopleוְהָעָ֔םve.ha.'AmH5971which thou hast brought upהֶֽעֱלִ֖יתָhe.'e.Li.taH5927out of the landמֵאֶ֣רֶץme.'E.retzH776of Egyptמִצְרָ֑יִםmitz.Ra.yimH4714,unto the landהָאָ֗רֶץha.'A.retzH776which I swareנִ֠שְׁבַּעְתִּיNish.ba'.tiH7650unto Abrahamלְאַבְרָהָ֨םle.'av.ra.HamH85,to Isaacלְיִצְחָ֤קle.yitz.ChakH3327,and to Jacobוּֽלְיַעֲקֹב֙u.le.ya.'a.KoH3290,sayingלֵאמֹ֔רle.MorH559,Unto thy seedלְזַרְעֲךָ֖le.zar.'a.KhaH2233will I giveאֶתְּנֶֽנָּה׃'et.te.Ne.nahH5414it:

2And I will sendוְשָׁלַחְתִּ֥יve.sha.lach.TiH7971an angelמַלְאָ֑ךְmal.'AkhH4397beforeלְפָנֶ֖יךָle.fa.Nei.khaH6440thee; and I will drive outוְגֵֽרַשְׁתִּ֗יve.ge.rash.TiH1644the Canaaniteהַֽכְּנַעֲנִי֙ha.ke.na.'a.NiH3669,the Amoriteהָֽאֱמֹרִ֔יha.'e.mo.RiH567,and the Hittiteוְהַֽחִתִּי֙ve.ha.chi.TiH2850,and the Perizziteוְהַפְּרִזִּ֔יve.hap.pe.ri.ZiH6522,the Hiviteהַחִוִּ֖יha.chi.ViH2340,and the Jebusiteוְהַיְבוּסִֽי׃ve.hay.vu.SiH2983:

3Unto a landאֶ֛רֶץ'E.retzH776flowingזָבַ֥תza.VatH2100with milkחָלָ֖בcha.LavH2461and honeyוּדְבָ֑שׁu.de.VashH1706:for I will not go upאֶֽעֱלֶ֜ה'e.'e.LehH5927in the midstבְּקִרְבְּךָ֗be.kir.be.ChaH7130of thee; for thou arta stiffneckedקְשֵׁה־ עֹ֙רֶף֙ke.sheh- 'o.refH6203 H7186peopleעַם־'am-H5971:lest I consumeאֲכֶלְךָ֖'a.khel.KhaH3615thee in the wayבַּדָּֽרֶךְ׃ba.Da.rekhH1870.

4And when the peopleהָעָ֗םha.'AmH5971heardוַיִּשְׁמַ֣עvai.yish.Ma'H8085these evilהָרָ֛עha.Ra'H7451tidingsהַדָּבָ֥רha.da.VarH1697,they mournedוַיִּתְאַבָּ֑לוּvai.yit.'a.Ba.luH56:and no manאִ֥ישׁ'ishH376did putשָׁ֛תוּSha.tuH7896on him his ornamentsעֶדְי֖וֹed.YoH5716.

5For the Lordיְהוָ֜הYah.wehH3068had saidוַיֹּ֨אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559unto Mosesמֹשֶׁ֗הmo.ShehH4872,Sayאֱמֹ֤ר'e.MorH559unto the childrenבְּנֵֽי־be.nei-H1121of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵל֙Yis.ra.'ElH3478, Ye area stiffneckedקְשֵׁה־ עֹ֔רֶףke.sheh- 'O.refH6203 H7186peopleעַם־'am-H5971:I will come upאֶֽעֱלֶ֥ה'e.'e.LehH5927into the midstבְקִרְבְּךָ֖ve.kir.be.ChaH7130of thee in aאֶחָ֛ד'e.ChadH259momentרֶ֧גַעRe.ga'H7281,and consumeוְכִלִּיתִ֑יךָve.khi.li.Ti.khaH3615thee: therefore now put offהוֹרֵ֤דho.RedH3381thy ornamentsעֶדְיְךָ֙'ed.ye.KhaH5716from thee, that I may knowוְאֵדְעָ֖הve.'e.de.'AhH3045what to doאֶֽעֱשֶׂה־'e.'e.seh-H6213unto thee.

6And the childrenבְנֵֽי־ve.nei-H1121of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֛לYis.ra.'ElH3478strippedוַיִּֽתְנַצְּל֧וּvai.yit.na.tze.LuH5337themselves of their ornamentsעֶדְיָ֖ם'ed.YamH5716by the mountמֵהַ֥רme.HarH2022Horebחוֹרֵֽב׃cho.RevH2722.

7And Mosesוּמֹשֶׁה֩u.mo.ShehH4872tookיִקַּ֨חyi.KachH3947the tabernacleהָאֹ֜הֶלha.'O.helH168,and pitchedוְנָֽטָה־ve.na.tah-H5186it withoutמִח֣וּץmi.ChutzH2351the campלַֽמַּחֲנֶ֗הla.ma.cha.NehH4264,afar offהַרְחֵק֙har.ChekH7368from the campהַֽמַּחֲנֶ֔הha.ma.cha.NehH4264,and calledוְקָ֥רָאve.Ka.ra'H7121it the Tabernacleאֹ֣הֶל'O.helH168of the congregationמוֹעֵ֑דmo.'EdH4150. And it came to pass, thatevery one which soughtמְבַקֵּ֣שׁme.va.KeshH1245the Lordיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068went outיֵצֵא֙ye.Tze'H3318unto the tabernacleאֹ֣הֶל'O.helH168of the congregationמוֹעֵ֔דmo.'EdH4150, which waswithoutמִח֥וּץmi.ChutzH2351the campלַֽמַּחֲנֶֽה׃La.ma.cha.NehH4264.

8And it came to pass, when Mosesמֹשֶׁה֙mo.ShehH4872went outכְּצֵ֤אתke.TzetH3318unto the tabernacleהָאֹ֔הֶלha.'O.helH168, thatall the peopleהָעָ֔םha.'AmH5971rose upיָק֙וּמוּ֙ya.Ku.muH6965,and stoodוְנִ֨צְּב֔וּve.Ni.tze.VuH5324every manאִ֖ישׁ'ishH376athis tentאָהֳל֑וֹ'o.ho.LoH168doorפֶּ֣תַחPe.tachH6607,and lookedוְהִבִּ֙יטוּ֙ve.hi.Bi.tuH5027afterאַחֲרֵ֣י'a.cha.ReiH310Mosesמֹשֶׁ֔הmo.ShehH4872,until he was goneבֹּא֖וֹbo.'OH935into the tabernacleהָאֹֽהֱלָה׃ha.'O.he.lahH168.

9And it came to pass, as Mosesמֹשֶׁה֙mo.ShehH4872enteredכְּבֹ֤אke.Vo'H935into the tabernacleהָאֹ֔הֱלָהha.'O.he.lahH168,the cloudyהֶֽעָנָ֔ןhe.'a.NanH6051pillarעַמּ֣וּד'a.MudH5982descendedיֵרֵד֙ye.RedH3381,and stoodוְעָמַ֖דve.'a.MadH5975atthe doorפֶּ֣תַחPe.tachH6607of the tabernacleהָאֹ֑הֶלha.'O.helH168, and the Lordtalkedוְדִבֶּ֖רve.di.BerH1696with Mosesמֹשֶֽׁה׃mo.ShehH4872.

10And all the peopleהָעָם֙ha.'AmH5971sawוְרָאָ֤הve.ra.'AhH7200the cloudyהֶֽעָנָ֔ןhe.'a.NanH6051pillarעַמּ֣וּד'a.MudH5982standעֹמֵ֖ד'o.MedH5975atthe tabernacleהָאֹ֑הֶלha.'O.helH168doorפֶּ֣תַחPe.tachH6607:and all the peopleהָעָם֙ha.'AmH5971rose upוְקָ֤םve.KamH6965and worshippedוְהִֽשְׁתַּחֲוּ֔וּve.hish.ta.cha.VuH7812,every manאִ֖ישׁ'ishH376inhis tentאָהֳלֽוֹ׃'o.ho.LoH168doorפֶּ֥תַחPe.tachH6607.

11And the Lordיְהוָ֤הYah.wehH3068spakeוְדִבֶּ֨רve.di.BerH1696unto Mosesמֹשֶׁה֙mo.ShehH4872faceפָּנִ֣יםpa.NimH6440to faceפָּנִ֔יםpa.NimH6440,as a manאִ֖ישׁ'ishH376speakethיְדַבֵּ֥רye.da.BerH1696unto his friendרֵעֵ֑הוּre.'E.huH7453.And he turned againוְשָׁב֙ve.ShavH7725into the campהַֽמַּחֲנֶ֔הha.ma.cha.NehH4264:but his servantוּמְשָׁ֨רְת֜וֹu.me.Sha.re.ToH8334Joshuaיְהוֹשֻׁ֤עַye.ho.Shu.a'H3091,the sonבִּן־bin-H1121of Nunנוּן֙nunH5126,a young manנַ֔עַרNa.'arH5288,departedיָמִ֖ישׁya.MishH4185not outמִתּ֥וֹךְmi.TokhH8432of the tabernacleהָאֹֽהֶל׃ סha.'O.helH168.

12And Mosesמֹשֶׁ֜הmo.ShehH4872saidוַיֹּ֨אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559unto the Lordיְהוָ֗הYah.wehH3068,Seeרְ֠אֵהRe.'ehH7200,thou sayestאֹמֵ֤ר'o.MerH559unto me, Bring upהַ֚עַלHa.'alH5927this peopleהָעָ֣םha.'AmH5971:and thou hast not let me knowהֽוֹדַעְתַּ֔נִיho.da'.Ta.niH3045whom thou wilt sendתִּשְׁלַ֖חtish.LachH7971with me. Yet thou hast saidאָמַ֙רְתָּ֙'a.Mar.taH559,I knowיְדַעְתִּ֣יךָֽye.da'.Ti.khaH3045thee by nameבְשֵׁ֔םve.ShemH8034,and thou hast also foundמָצָ֥אתָma.Tza.taH4672graceחֵ֖ןchenH2580in my sightבְּעֵינָֽי׃be.'ei.NaiH5869.

13Now therefore, I pray thee, if I have foundמָצָ֨אתִיma.Tza.tiH4672graceחֵ֜ןchenH2580in thy sightבְּעֵינֶ֗יךָbe.'ei.Nei.khaH5869,shewהוֹדִעֵ֤נִיho.di.'E.niH3045me now thy wayדְּרָכֶ֔ךָde.ra.Khe.khaH1870,that I may knowוְאֵדָ֣עֲךָ֔ve.'e.Da.'a.khaH3045thee, that I may findאֶמְצָא־'em.tza'-H4672graceחֵ֖ןchenH2580in thy sightבְּעֵינֶ֑יךָbe.'ei.Nei.khaH5869:and considerוּרְאֵ֕הu.re.'EhH7200that this nationהַגּ֥וֹיha.GoyH1471isthy peopleעַמְּךָ֖'a.me.KhaH5971.

14And he saidוַיֹּאמַ֑רvai.yo.MarH559,My presenceפָּנַ֥יpa.NaiH6440shall goH3212with thee,and I will give thee restוַהֲנִחֹ֥תִיva.ha.ni.Cho.tiH5117.

15And he saidוַיֹּ֖אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559unto him, If thy presenceפָּנֶ֙יךָ֙pa.Nei.khaH6440goהֹלְכִ֔יםho.le.KhimH1980not with me,carry us not upתַּעֲלֵ֖נוּta.'a.Le.nuH5927hence.

16For wherein shall it be knownיִוָּדַ֣עyi.va.Da'H3045hereאֵפ֗וֹא'e.Fo'H645that I and thy peopleוְעַמֶּ֔ךָve.'a.Me.khaH5971have foundמָצָ֨אתִיma.Tza.tiH4672graceחֵ֤ןchenH2580in thy sightבְּעֵינֶ֙יךָ֙be.'ei.Nei.khaH5869? is itnot in that thou goestH3212with us? so shall we be separatedוְנִפְלֵ֙ינוּ֙ve.nif.Lei.nuH6395,I and thy peopleוְעַמְּךָ֔ve.'a.me.KhaH5971,from all the peopleהָעָ֔םha.'AmH5971that areupon the faceפְּנֵ֥יpe.NeiH6440of the earthהָאֲדָמָֽה׃ פha.'a.da.MahH127.

17And the Lordיְהוָה֙Yah.wehH3068saidוַיֹּ֤אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559unto Mosesמֹשֶׁ֔הmo.ShehH4872,I will doאֶֽעֱשֶׂ֑ה'e.'e.SehH6213this thingהַדָּבָ֥רha.da.VarH1697also that thou hast spokenדִּבַּ֖רְתָּdi.Bar.taH1696:for thou hast foundמָצָ֤אתָma.Tza.taH4672graceחֵן֙chenH2580in my sightבְּעֵינַ֔יbe.'ei.NaiH5869,and I knowוָאֵדָעֲךָ֖va.'e.da.'a.KhaH3045thee by nameבְּשֵֽׁם׃be.ShemH8034.

18And he saidוַיֹּאמַ֑רvai.yo.MarH559,I beseech theeנָ֖אna'H4994,shewהַרְאֵ֥נִיhar.'E.niH7200me thy gloryכְּבֹדֶֽךָ׃ke.vo.De.khaH3519.

19And he saidוַיֹּ֗אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559,I will make all my goodnessטוּבִי֙tu.ViH2898passאַעֲבִ֤יר'a.'a.VirH5674before thee, and I will proclaimוְקָרָ֧אתִֽיve.ka.Ra.tiH7121the nameבְשֵׁ֛םve.ShemH8034of the Lordיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068beforeH6440thee; and will be graciousוְחַנֹּתִי֙ve.cha.no.TiH2603to whom I will be graciousאָחֹ֔ן'a.ChonH2603,and will shew mercyוְרִחַמְתִּ֖יve.ri.cham.TiH7355on whom I will shew mercyאֲרַחֵֽם׃'a.ra.ChemH7355.

20And he saidוַיֹּ֕אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559,Thou canstתוּכַ֖לtu.KhalH3201not seeלִרְאֹ֣תlir.'OtH7200my faceפָּנָ֑יpa.NaiH6440:for there shall no manהָאָדָ֖םha.'a.DamH120seeיִרְאַ֥נִיyir.'A.niH7200me, and liveH2425.

21And the Lordיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068saidוַיֹּ֣אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559, Behold, there isa placeמָק֖וֹםma.KomH4725by me, and thou shalt standוְנִצַּבְתָּ֖ve.ni.tzav.TaH5324upon a rockהַצּֽוּר׃ha.TzurH6697:

22And it shall come to pass, while my gloryכְּבֹדִ֔יke.vo.DiH3519passeth byבַּעֲבֹ֣רba.'a.VorH5674,that I will putוְשַׂמְתִּ֖יךָve.sam.Ti.khaH7760thee in a cliftבְּנִקְרַ֣תbe.nik.RatH5366of the rockהַצּ֑וּרha.TzurH6697,and will coverוְשַׂכֹּתִ֥יve.sa.ko.TiH5526thee with my handכַפִּ֛יkha.PiH3709whileעַד־'ad-H5704I pass byעָבְרִֽי׃'a.ve.RiH5674:

23And I will takeוַהֲסִרֹתִי֙va.ha.si.ro.TiH5493away mine handכַּפִּ֔יka.PiH3709,and thou shalt seeוְרָאִ֖יתָve.ra.'I.taH7200my back partsאֲחֹרָ֑י'a.cho.RaiH268:but my faceוּפָנַ֖יu.fa.NaiH6440shall not be seenיֵרָאֽוּ׃ סye.ra.'UH7200.
