1Then the Lordיְהוָה֙Yah.wehH3068saidוַיֹּ֤אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559unto Mosesמֹשֶׁ֔הmo.ShehH4872,Goבֹּ֖אbo'H935in unto Pharaohפַּרְעֹ֑הpar.'OhH6547,and tellוְדִבַּרְתָּ֣ve.di.bar.TaH1696him, Thus saithאָמַ֤ר'a.MarH559the Lordיְהוָה֙Yah.wehH3068Godאֱלֹהֵ֣י'e.lo.HeiH430of the Hebrewsהָֽעִבְרִ֔יםha.'iv.RimH5680,Let my peopleעַמִּ֖י'a.MiH5971goשַׁלַּ֥חsha.LachH7971,that they may serveוְיַֽעַבְדֻֽנִי׃ve.Ya.'av.Du.niH5647me.

2For if thou refuseמָאֵ֥ןma.'EnH3986to let themgoלְשַׁלֵּ֑חַle.sha.Le.achH7971,and wilt holdמַחֲזִ֥יקma.cha.ZikH2388them still,

3Behold, the handיַד־yad-H3027of the Lordיְהוָ֜הYah.wehH3068isהוֹיָ֗הho.YahH1961upon thy cattleבְּמִקְנְךָ֙be.mik.ne.ChaH4735which isin the fieldבַּשָּׂדֶ֔הba.sa.DehH7704,upon the horsesבַּסּוּסִ֤יםba.su.SimH5483,upon the assesבַּֽחֲמֹרִים֙ba.cha.mo.RimH2543,upon the camelsבַּגְּמַלִּ֔יםba.ge.ma.LimH1581,upon the oxenבַּבָּקָ֖רba.ba.KarH1241,and upon the sheepוּבַצֹּ֑אןu.va.TzonH6629: there shall bea veryמְאֹֽד׃me.'OdH3966grievousכָּבֵ֥דka.VedH3515murrainדֶּ֖בֶרDe.verH1698.

4And the Lordיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068shall severוְהִפְלָ֣הve.hif.LahH6395between the cattleמִקְנֵ֣הmik.NehH4735of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֔לYis.ra.'ElH3478and the cattleמִקְנֵ֣הmik.NehH4735of Egyptמִצְרָ֑יִםmitz.Ra.yimH4714:and there shall nothingדָּבָֽר׃da.VarH1697dieיָמ֛וּתya.MutH4191of all that isthe children’sלִבְנֵ֥יliv.NeiH1121of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֖לYis.ra.'ElH3478.

5And the Lordיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068appointedוַיָּ֥שֶׂםvai.Ya.semH7760a set timeמוֹעֵ֣דmo.'EdH4150,sayingלֵאמֹ֑רle.MorH559,To morrowמָחָ֗רma.CharH4279the Lordיְהוָ֛הYah.wehH3068shall doיַעֲשֶׂ֧הya.'a.SehH6213this thingהַדָּבָ֥רha.da.VarH1697in the landבָּאָֽרֶץ׃ba.'A.retzH776.

6And the Lordיְהוָ֜הYah.wehH3068didוַיַּ֨עַשׂvai.Ya.'asH6213that thingהַדָּבָ֤רha.da.VarH1697on the morrowמִֽמָּחֳרָ֔תmi.mo.cho.RatH4283,and all the cattleמִקְנֵ֣הmik.NehH4735of EgyptH4714diedוַיָּ֕מָתvai.Ya.motH4191:but of the cattleוּמִמִּקְנֵ֥הu.mi.mik.NehH4735of the childrenבְנֵֽי־ve.nei-H1121of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֖לYis.ra.'ElH3478diedמֵ֥תmetH4191not oneאֶחָֽד׃'e.ChadH259.

7And Pharaohפַּרְעֹ֔הpar.'OhH6547sentוַיִּשְׁלַ֣חvai.yish.LachH7971,and, behold, there was not oneאֶחָ֑ד'e.ChadH259of the cattleמִמִּקְנֵ֥הmi.mik.NehH4735of the Israelitesיִשְׂרָאֵ֖לYis.ra.'ElH3478deadמֵ֛תmetH4191.And the heartלֵ֣בlevH3820of Pharaohפַּרְעֹ֔הpar.'OhH6547was hardenedוַיִּכְבַּד֙vai.yikh.BadH3513,and he did not let the peopleהָעָֽם׃ פha.'AmH5971goשִׁלַּ֖חshi.LachH7971.

8And the Lordיְהוָה֮Yah.wehH3068saidוַיֹּ֣אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559unto Mosesמֹשֶׁ֣הmo.ShehH4872and unto Aaronאַהֲרֹן֒'a.ha.RonH175,Takeקְח֤וּke.ChuH3947to you handfulsמְלֹ֣א חָפְנֵיכֶ֔םme.Lo' cha.fe.nei.KhemH4393 H2651of ashesפִּ֖יחַPi.achH6368of the furnaceכִּבְשָׁ֑ןkiv.ShanH3536,and let Mosesמֹשֶׁ֛הmo.ShehH4872sprinkleוּזְרָק֥וֹu.ze.ra.KoH2236it toward the heavenהַשָּׁמַ֖יְמָהha.sha.May.mahH8064in the sightלְעֵינֵ֥יle.'ei.NeiH5869of Pharaohפַרְעֹֽה׃far.'OhH6547.

9And it shall become small dustלְאָבָ֔קle.'a.VakH80in all the landאֶ֣רֶץ'E.retzH776of Egyptמִצְרָ֑יִםmitz.Ra.yimH4714,and shall be a boilלִשְׁחִ֥יןlish.ChinH7822breaking forthפֹּרֵ֛חַpo.Re.achH6524withblainsאֲבַעְבֻּעֹ֖ת'a.va'.bu.'OtH76upon manהָאָדָ֜םha.'a.DamH120,and upon beastהַבְּהֵמָ֗הha.be.he.MahH929,throughout all the landאֶ֥רֶץ'E.retzH776of Egyptמִצְרָֽיִם׃mitz.Ra.yimH4714.

10And they tookוַיִּקְח֞וּvai.yik.ChuH3947ashesפִּ֣יחַPi.achH6368of the furnaceהַכִּבְשָׁ֗ןha.kiv.ShanH3536,and stoodוַיַּֽעַמְדוּ֙vai.ya.'am.DuH5975beforeלִפְנֵ֣יlif.NeiH6440Pharaohפַרְעֹ֔הfar.'OhH6547;and Mosesמֹשֶׁ֖הmo.ShehH4872sprinkledוַיִּזְרֹ֥קvai.yiz.RokH2236it up toward heavenהַשָּׁמָ֑יְמָהha.sha.Ma.ye.mahH8064;and it became a boilשְׁחִין֙she.ChinH7822breaking forthפֹּרֵ֕חַpo.Re.achH6524withblainsאֲבַעְבֻּעֹ֔ת'a.va'.bu.'OtH76upon manבָּאָדָ֖םba.'a.DamH120,and upon beastוּבַבְּהֵמָֽה׃u.va.be.he.MahH929.

11And the magiciansהַֽחַרְטֻמִּ֗יםha.char.tu.MimH2748couldיָכְל֣וּya.khe.LuH3201not standלַעֲמֹ֛דla.'a.ModH5975beforeלִפְנֵ֥יlif.NeiH6440Mosesמֹשֶׁ֖הmo.ShehH4872becauseמִפְּנֵ֣יmi.pe.NeiH6440of the boilsהַשְּׁחִ֑יןha.she.ChinH7822;for the boilהַשְּׁחִ֔יןha.she.ChinH7822was upon the magiciansבַּֽחֲרְטֻמִּ֖םba.char.tu.MimH2748,and upon all the EgyptiansH4714.

12And the Lordיְהוָה֙Yah.wehH3068hardenedוַיְחַזֵּ֤קvay.cha.ZekH2388the heartלֵ֣בlevH3820of Pharaohפַּרְעֹ֔הpar.'OhH6547,and he hearkenedשָׁמַ֖עsha.Ma'H8085not unto them; as the Lordיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068had spokenדִּבֶּ֥רdi.BerH1696unto Mosesמֹשֶֽׁה׃ סmo.ShehH4872.

13And the Lordיְהוָה֙Yah.wehH3068saidוַיֹּ֤אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559unto Mosesמֹשֶׁ֔הmo.ShehH4872,Rise up earlyהַשְׁכֵּ֣םhash.KemH7925in the morningבַּבֹּ֔קֶרba.Bo.kerH1242,and standוְהִתְיַצֵּ֖בve.hit.ya.TzevH3320beforeלִפְנֵ֣יlif.NeiH6440Pharaohפַרְעֹ֑הfar.'OhH6547,and sayוְאָמַרְתָּ֣ve.'a.mar.TaH559unto him, Thus saithאָמַ֤ר'a.MarH559the Lordיְהוָה֙Yah.wehH3068Godאֱלֹהֵ֣י'e.lo.HeiH430of the Hebrewsהָֽעִבְרִ֔יםha.'iv.RimH5680,Let my peopleעַמִּ֖י'a.MiH5971goשַׁלַּ֥חsha.LachH7971,that they may serveוְיַֽעַבְדֻֽנִי׃ve.Ya.'av.Du.niH5647me.

14For I will at this timeבַּפַּ֣עַםba.Pa.'amH6471sendשֹׁלֵ֜חַsho.Le.achH7971all my plaguesמַגֵּפֹתַי֙ma.ge.fo.TaiH4046upon thine heartלִבְּךָ֔li.be.KhaH3820,and upon thy servantsוּבַעֲבָדֶ֖יךָu.va.'a.va.Dei.khaH5650,and upon thy peopleוּבְעַמֶּ֑ךָu.ve.'a.Me.khaH5971;that thou mayest knowתֵּדַ֔עte.Da'H3045that there isnone like me in all the earthהָאָֽרֶץ׃ha.'A.retzH776.

15For now I will stretch outשָׁלַ֣חְתִּיsha.Lach.tiH7971my handיָדִ֔יya.DiH3027,that I may smiteוָאַ֥ךְva.'AkhH5221thee and thy peopleעַמְּךָ֖'a.me.KhaH5971with pestilenceבַּדָּ֑בֶרba.Da.verH1698;and thou shalt be cut offוַתִּכָּחֵ֖דva.ti.ka.ChedH3582from the earthהָאָֽרֶץ׃ha.'A.retzH776.

16And in veryוְאוּלָ֗םve.'u.LamH199deedH5668for this causehave I raised thee upהֶעֱמַדְתִּ֔יךָhe.'e.mad.Ti.khaH5975,for to shewהַרְאֹתְךָ֣har.'o.te.KhaH7200inthee my powerכֹּחִ֑יko.ChiH3581;and that my nameשְׁמִ֖יshe.MiH8034may be declaredסַפֵּ֥רsa.PerH5608throughout all the earthהָאָֽרֶץ׃ha.'A.retzH776.

17As yet exaltestמִסְתּוֹלֵ֣לmis.to.LelH5549thou thyself against my peopleבְּעַמִּ֑יbe.'a.MiH5971,that thou wilt not let them goשַׁלְּחָֽם׃sha.le.ChamH7971?

18Behold, to morrowמָחָ֔רma.CharH4279about this timeכָּעֵ֣תka.'EtH6256I will cause it to rainמַמְטִיר֙mam.TirH4305a veryמְאֹ֑דme.'OdH3966grievousכָּבֵ֣דka.VedH3515hailבָּרָ֖דba.RadH1259,such as hath not beenכָמֹ֙הוּ֙kha.Mo.huH3644in Egyptבְּמִצְרַ֔יִםbe.mitz.Ra.yimH4714sinceלְמִן־le.min-H4480the foundationהַיּ֥וֹם הִוָּסְדָ֖הhai.Yom hi.va.se.DahH3245 H3117thereof even until now.

19Sendשְׁלַ֤חshe.LachH7971therefore now, andgatherהָעֵז֙ha.'EzH5756thy cattleמִקְנְךָ֔mik.ne.ChaH4735,and all that thou hast in the fieldבַּשָּׂדֶ֑הba.sa.DehH7704; for uponevery manהָאָדָ֨םha.'a.DamH120and beastוְהַבְּהֵמָ֜הve.ha.be.he.MahH929which shall be foundיִמָּצֵ֣אyi.ma.Tze'H4672in the fieldבַשָּׂדֶ֗הva.sa.DehH7704,and shall not be broughtיֵֽאָסֵף֙ye.'a.SefH622homeהַבַּ֔יְתָהha.Bay.tahH1004,the hailהַבָּרָ֖דha.ba.RadH1259shall come downוְיָרַ֧דve.ya.RadH3381upon them, and they shall dieוָמֵֽתוּ׃va.Me.tuH4191.

20He that fearedהַיָּרֵא֙hai.ya.Re'H3373the wordדְּבַ֣רde.VarH1697of the Lordיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068among the servantsמֵֽעַבְדֵ֖יme.'av.DeiH5650of Pharaohפַּרְעֹ֑הpar.'OhH6547made his servantsעֲבָדָ֥יו'a.va.DavH5650and his cattleמִקְנֵ֖הוּmik.Ne.huH4735fleeהֵנִ֛יסhe.NisH5127into the housesהַבָּתִּֽים׃ha.ba.TimH1004:

21And he that regardedשָׂ֛ם לִבּ֖וֹsam li.BoH3820 H7760not the wordדְּבַ֣רde.VarH1697of the Lordיְהוָ֑הYah.wehH3068leftוַֽיַּעֲזֹ֛בvai.ya.'a.ZoH5800his servantsעֲבָדָ֥יו'a.va.DavH5650and his cattleמִקְנֵ֖הוּmik.Ne.huH4735in the fieldבַּשָּׂדֶֽה׃ פba.sa.DehH7704.

22And the Lordיְהוָ֜הYah.wehH3068saidוַיֹּ֨אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559unto Mosesמֹשֶׁהmo.shehH4872,Stretch forthנְטֵ֤הne.TehH5186thine handיָֽדְךָ֙ya.de.KhaH3027toward heavenהַשָּׁמַ֔יִםha.sha.Ma.yimH8064,that there may be hailבָרָ֖דva.RadH1259in all the landאֶ֣רֶץ'E.retzH776of Egyptמִצְרָ֑יִםmitz.Ra.yimH4714,upon manהָאָדָ֣םha.'a.DamH120,and upon beastהַבְּהֵמָ֗הha.be.he.MahH929,and upon every herbעֵ֥שֶׂב'E.sevH6212of the fieldהַשָּׂדֶ֖הha.sa.DehH7704,throughout the landבְּאֶ֥רֶץbe.'E.retzH776of Egyptמִצְרָֽיִם׃mitz.Ra.yimH4714.

23And Mosesמֹשֶׁ֣הmo.ShehH4872stretched forthוַיֵּ֨טvai.YetH5186his rodמַטֵּהוּ֮ma.te.HuH4294toward heavenהַשָּׁמַיִם֒ha.sha.ma.YimH8064:and the Lordוַֽיהוָ֗הva.Yah.wehH3068sentנָתַ֤ןna.TanH5414thunderקֹלֹת֙ko.LotH6963and hailוּבָרָ֔דu.va.RadH1259,and the fireאֵ֖שׁ'eshH784ran alongוַתִּ֥הֲלַךְva.Ti.ha.lakhH1980upon the groundאָ֑רְצָה'A.re.tzahH776;and the Lordיְהוָ֛הYah.wehH3068rainedוַיַּמְטֵ֧רvai.yam.TerH4305hailבָּרָ֖דba.RadH1259upon the landאֶ֥רֶץ'E.retzH776of Egyptמִצְרָֽיִם׃mitz.Ra.yimH4714.

24So there was hailבָרָ֔דva.RadH1259,and fireוְאֵ֕שׁ מִתְלַקַּ֖חַתve.'Esh mit.la.Ka.chatH3947 H784mingledבְּת֣וֹךְbe.TokhH8432with the hailהַבָּרָ֑דha.ba.RadH1259,veryמְאֹ֔דme.'OdH3966grievousכָּבֵ֣דka.VedH3515,such as there was noneלֹֽא־lo'-H3808like it in all the landאֶ֣רֶץ'E.retzH776of Egyptמִצְרַ֔יִםmitz.Ra.yimH4714since it became a nationלְגֽוֹי׃le.GoyH1471.

25And the hailהַבָּרָ֜דha.ba.RadH1259smoteוַיַּ֨ךְvai.YakhH5221throughout all the landאֶ֣רֶץ'E.retzH776of Egyptמִצְרַ֗יִםmitz.Ra.yimH4714all that wasin the fieldבַּשָּׂדֶ֔הba.sa.DehH7704,both manמֵאָדָ֖םme.'a.DamH120and beastבְּהֵמָ֑הbe.he.MahH929;and the hailהַבָּרָ֔דha.ba.RadH1259smoteהִכָּ֣הhi.KahH5221every herbעֵ֤שֶׂב'E.sevH6212of the fieldהַשָּׂדֶה֙ha.sa.DehH7704,and brakeשִׁבֵּֽר׃shi.BerH7665every treeעֵ֥ץ'etzH6086of the fieldהַשָּׂדֶ֖הha.sa.DehH7704.

26Only in the landבְּאֶ֣רֶץbe.'E.retzH776of Goshenגֹּ֔שֶׁןGo.shenH1657,where the childrenבְּנֵ֣יbe.NeiH1121of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֑לYis.ra.'ElH3478were,was there no hailבָּרָֽד׃ba.RadH1259.

27And Pharaohפַּרְעֹ֗הpar.'OhH6547sentוַיִּשְׁלַ֣חvai.yish.LachH7971,and calledוַיִּקְרָא֙vai.yik.Ra'H7121for Mosesלְמֹשֶׁ֣הle.mo.ShehH4872and Aaronוּֽלְאַהֲרֹ֔ןu.le.'a.ha.RonH175,and saidוַיֹּ֥אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559unto them, I have sinnedחָטָ֣אתִיcha.Ta.tiH2398this timeהַפָּ֑עַםha.Pa.'amH6471:the Lordיְהוָה֙Yah.wehH3068isrighteousהַצַּדִּ֔יקha.tza.DikH6662,and I and my peopleוְעַמִּ֖יve.'a.MiH5971arewickedהָרְשָׁעִֽים׃ha.re.sha.'ImH7563.

28Intreatהַעְתִּ֙ירוּ֙ha'.Ti.ruH6279the Lordיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068(for it isenoughוְרַ֕בve.RavH7227) that there be no moremightyאֱלֹהִ֖ים'E.lo.HimH430thunderingsקֹלֹ֥תko.LotH6963and hailוּבָרָ֑דu.va.RadH1259;and I will let you goוַאֲשַׁלְּחָ֣הva.'a.sha.le.ChahH7971,and ye shall stayלַעֲמֹֽד׃la.'a.ModH5975no longerתֹסִפ֖וּןto.si.FunH3254.

29And Mosesמֹשֶׁ֔הmo.ShehH4872saidוַיֹּ֤אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559unto him, As soon as I am gone outכְּצֵאתִי֙ke.tze.TiH3318of the cityהָעִ֔ירha.'IrH5892,I will spread abroadאֶפְרֹ֥שׂ'ef.RosH6566my handsכַּפַּ֖יka.PaiH3709unto the Lordיְהוָ֑הYah.wehH3068; andthe thunderהַקֹּל֣וֹתha.ko.LotH6963shall ceaseיֶחְדָּל֗וּןyech.da.LunH2308,neither shall there be any more hailוְהַבָּרָד֙ve.ha.ba.RadH1259;that thou mayest knowתֵּדַ֔עte.Da'H3045how that the earthהָאָֽרֶץ׃ha.'A.retzH776isthe Lord’sלַיהוָ֖הla.Yah.wehH3068.

30But as for thee and thy servantsוַעֲבָדֶ֑יךָva.'a.va.Dei.khaH5650,I knowיָדַ֕עְתִּיya.Da'.tiH3045that ye will not yet fearתִּֽירְא֔וּן מִפְּנֵ֖יtir.'Un mi.pe.NeiH6440 H3372the Lordיְהוָ֥הYah.wehH3068Godאֱלֹהִֽים׃'E.lo.HimH430.

31And the flaxוְהַפִּשְׁתָּ֥הve.ha.pish.TahH6594and the barleyוְהַשְּׂעֹרָ֖הve.ha.se.'o.RahH8184was smittenנֻכָּ֑תָהnu.Ka.tahH5221:for the barleyהַשְּׂעֹרָה֙ha.se.'o.RahH8184wasin the earאָבִ֔יב'a.VivH24,and the flaxוְהַפִּשְׁתָּ֖הve.ha.pish.TahH6594wasbolledגִּבְעֹֽל׃giv.'OlH1392.

32But the wheatוְהַחִטָּ֥הve.ha.chi.TahH2406and the rieוְהַכֻּסֶּ֖מֶתve.hak.ku.Se.metH3698were not smittenנֻכּ֑וּnu.KuH5221:for theyהֵֽנָּה׃He.nahH2007werenot grown upאֲפִילֹ֖ת'a.fi.LotH648.

33And Mosesמֹשֶׁ֜הmo.ShehH4872went outוַיֵּצֵ֨אvai.ye.Tze'H3318of the cityהָעִ֔ירha.'IrH5892from Pharaohפַּרְעֹה֙par.'OhH6547,and spread abroadוַיִּפְרֹ֥שׂvai.yif.RosH6566his handsכַּפָּ֖יוka.PavH3709unto the Lordיְהוָ֑הYah.wehH3068:and the thundersהַקֹּלוֹת֙ha.ko.lOtH6963and hailוְהַבָּרָ֔דve.ha.ba.RadH1259ceasedוַֽיַּחְדְּל֤וּvai.yach.de.LuH2308,and the rainוּמָטָ֖רu.ma.TarH4306was not pouredנִתַּ֥ךְni.TakhH5413upon the earthאָֽרְצָה׃'A.re.tzahH776.

34And when Pharaohפַּרְעֹ֗הpar.'OhH6547sawוַיַּ֣רְאvai.Yar'H7200that the rainהַמָּטָ֧רha.ma.TarH4306and the hailוְהַבָּרָ֛דve.ha.ba.RadH1259and the thundersוְהַקֹּלֹ֖תve.ha.ko.LotH6963were ceasedחָדַ֨לcha.DalH2308,he sinnedלַחֲטֹ֑אla.cha.To'H2398yet moreוַיֹּ֣סֶףvai.Yo.sefH3254,and hardenedוַיַּכְבֵּ֥דvai.yakh.BedH3513his heartלִבּ֖וֹli.BoH3820,he and his servantsוַעֲבָדָֽיו׃va.'a.va.DavH5650.

35And the heartלֵ֣בlevH3820of Pharaohפַּרְעֹ֔הpar.'OhH6547was hardenedוַֽיֶּחֱזַק֙vai.ye.che.ZakH2388,neither would he let the childrenבְּנֵ֣יbe.NeiH1121of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֑לYis.ra.'ElH3478goשִׁלַּ֖חshi.LachH7971;as the Lordיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068had spokenדִּבֶּ֥רdi.BerH1696byבְּיַד־be.yad-H3027Mosesמֹשֶֽׁה׃ פmo.ShehH4872.
