27From all thisGideonגִדְע֜וֹןgid.'onH1439madeוַיַּעַשׂ֩vai.ya.'AsH6213אוֹת֨וֹ'o.ToH853an ephodלְאֵפ֗וֹדle.'e.FodH646,which he placedוַיַּצֵּ֨גvai.ya.TzegH3322אוֹת֤וֹ'o.ToH853in Ophrahבְּעָפְרָ֔הbe.'a.fe.RahH6084,his hometownבְעִירוֹ֙ve.'i.RoH5892.But soon allכָֽל־khol-H3605Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֛לYis.ra.'ElH3478prostituted themselvesוַיִּזְנ֧וּvai.yiz.NuH2181by worshiping itאַחֲרָ֖יו'a.cha.RavH310thereשָׁ֑םShamH8033,and it becameוַיְהִ֛יvay.HiH1961a snareלְמוֹקֵֽשׁ׃le.mo.KeshH4170to Gideonלְגִדְע֥וֹןle.gid.'onH1439and his householdוּלְבֵית֖וֹu.le.vei.ToH1004.
28In this way Midianמִדְיָ֗ןmid.YanH4080was subduedוַיִּכָּנַ֣עvai.yi.ka.Na'H3665beforeלִפְנֵי֙lif.NeiH6440the Israelitesבְּנֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֔לbe.Nei Yis.ra.'ElH1121H3478and did notוְלֹ֥אve.Lo'H3808raiseלָשֵׂ֣אתla.SetH5375its headרֹאשָׁ֑םro.ShamH7218againיָסְפ֖וּya.se.FuH3254.So the landהָאָ֛רֶץha.'A.retzH776had restוַתִּשְׁקֹ֥טva.tish.KotH8252for fortyאַרְבָּעִ֥ים'ar.ba.'ImH705yearsשָׁנָ֖הsha.NahH8141in the daysבִּימֵ֥יbi.MeiH3117of Gideonגִדְעֽוֹן׃ פgid.'onH1439,
32Later, Gideonגִּדְע֥וֹןgid.'onH1439sonבֶּן־ben-H1121of Joashיוֹאָ֖שׁyo.'AshH3101diedוַיָּ֛מָתvai.Ya.motH4191at a ripeטוֹבָ֑הto.VahH2896old ageבְּשֵׂיבָ֣הbe.sei.VahH7872and was buriedוַיִּקָּבֵ֗רvai.yi.ka.VerH6912in the tombבְּקֶ֙בֶר֙be.Ke.verH6913of his fatherאָבִ֔יו'a.VivH1Joashיוֹאָ֣שׁyo.'AshH3101in Ophrahבְּעָפְרָ֖הbe.'a.fe.RahH6084of the AbiezritesH33.
