16This is whatכֹּ֣הkohH3541the LORDיְהוָ֡הYah.wehH3068saysאָמַ֣ר'a.MarH559: “Standעִמְדוּ֩'im.DuH5975atעַל־'al-H5921the crossroadsדְּרָכִ֨יםde.ra.KhimH1870and lookוּרְא֜וּu.re.'UH7200.Askוְשַׁאֲל֣וּ׀ve.sha.'a.LuH7592for the ancientעוֹלָ֗םo.LamH5769pathsלִנְתִב֣וֹתlin.ti.VotH5410: ‘Whereאֵי־ זֶ֨ה'ei- zehH335 H2088isthe goodהַטּוֹב֙ha.tOvH2896wayדֶ֤רֶךְDe.rekhH1870?’Then walkוּלְכוּ־u.le.khu-H1980in it,and you will findוּמִצְא֥וּu.mitz.'UH4672restמַרְגּ֖וֹעַmar.Go.a'H4771for your soulsלְנַפְשְׁכֶ֑םle.naf.she.KhemH5315.But they saidוַיֹּאמְר֖וּvai.yo.me.RuH559, ‘We will notלֹ֥אlo'H3808walk in itנֵלֵֽךְ׃ne.LekhH1980!’

17I appointedוַהֲקִמֹתִ֤יva.ha.ki.mo.TiH6965watchmenצֹפִ֔יםtzo.FimH6822over youעֲלֵיכֶם֙'a.lei.KhemH5921and said, ‘Listenהַקְשִׁ֖יבוּhak.Shi.vuH7181for the soundלְק֣וֹלle.KolH6963of the ram’s hornשׁוֹפָ֑רsho.FarH7782.’But they answeredוַיֹּאמְר֖וּvai.yo.me.RuH559, ‘We will notלֹ֥אlo'H3808listenנַקְשִֽׁיב׃nak.ShivH7181!’

18Thereforeלָכֵ֖ןla.KhenH3651hearשִׁמְע֣וּshim.'UH8085,O nationsהַגּוֹיִ֑םha.go.YimH1471,and learnוּדְעִ֥יu.de.'IH3045,O congregationsעֵדָ֖ה'e.DahH5712אֶת־'et-H853,what will happenאֲשֶׁר־'a.Sher-H834to them.

19Hearשִׁמְעִ֣יshim.'IH8085,O earthהָאָ֔רֶץha.'A.retzH776הִנֵּ֨הhi.NehH2009!Iאָנֹכִ֜י'a.no.KhiH595am bringingמֵבִ֥יאme.Vi'H935disasterרָעָ֛הra.'AhH7451onאֶל־'el-H413thisהַזֶּ֖הha.ZehH2088peopleהָעָ֥םha.'AmH5971,the fruitפְּרִ֣יpe.RiH6529of their own schemesמַחְשְׁבוֹתָ֑םmach.she.vo.TamH4284,becauseכִּ֤יkiH3588they have paid noלֹ֣אlo'H3808attentionהִקְשִׁ֔יבוּhik.Shi.vuH7181toעַל־'al-H5921My wordדְּבָרַי֙de.va.RaiH1697and have rejectedוַיִּמְאֲסוּ־vai.yim.'a.su-H3988My instructionוְתוֹרָתִ֖יve.to.ra.TiH8451.
