6And Ishmaelיִשְׁמָעֵ֨אלyish.ma.'ElH3458sonבֶּן־ben-H1121of Nethaniahנְתַנְיָ֤הne.tan.YahH5418went outוַ֠יֵּצֵאVai.ye.tze'H3318fromמִן־min-H4480Mizpahהַמִּצְפָּ֔הha.mitz.PahH4709to meet themלִקְרָאתָם֙lik.ra.TamH7122,weepingוּבֹכֶ֑ה וַֽיְהִי֙u.vo.Kheh vay.HiH1058 H1961as he wentH1980.When Ishmael encounteredכִּפְגֹ֣שׁkif.GoshH6298the menאֹתָ֔ם'o.TamH853,he saidוַיֹּ֣אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559, “Comeאֲלֵיהֶ֔ם בֹּ֖אוּ'a.lei.Hem Bo.'uH935 H413toאֶל־'el-H413Gedaliahגְּדַלְיָ֥הוּge.dal.Ya.huH1436sonבֶן־ven-H1121of Ahikamאֲחִיקָֽם׃ ס'a.chi.KamH296.”

7וַיְהִ֕יvay.HiH1961And when they cameכְּבוֹאָ֖םke.vo.'AmH935intoאֶל־ תּ֣וֹךְ'el- TokhH413 H8432the cityהָעִ֑ירha.'IrH5892,Ishmaelיִשְׁמָעֵ֤אלyish.ma.'ElH3458sonבֶּן־ben-H1121of Nethaniahנְתַנְיָה֙ne.tan.YahH5418and the menוְהָאֲנָשִׁ֥יםve.ha.'a.na.ShimH582אֲשֶׁר־'a.Sher-H834with himאִתּֽוֹ׃'i.ToH854slaughtered themוַיִּשְׁחָטֵ֞םvai.yish.cha.TemH7819and threw them intoאֶל־ תּ֣וֹךְ'el- TokhH413 H8432a cisternהַבּ֔וֹר ה֖וּאha.Bor hu'H953 H1931.

8But tenוַעֲשָׂרָ֨הva.'a.sa.RahH6235of the menאֲנָשִׁ֜ים'a.na.ShimH582נִמְצְאוּ־nim.tze.'u-H4672among themsaidוַיֹּאמְר֤וּvai.yo.me.RuH559toאֶל־'el-H413Ishmaelיִשְׁמָעֵאל֙yish.ma.'eLH3458, “Do notאַל־'al-H408kill usתְּמִתֵ֔נוּte.mi.Te.nuH4191,forכִּֽי־ki-H3588we haveיֶשׁ־yesh-H3426hidden treasureמַטְמֹנִים֙mat.mo.NimH4301in the fieldבַּשָּׂדֶ֔הba.sa.DehH7704—wheatחִטִּ֥יםchi.TimH2406,barleyוּשְׂעֹרִ֖יםu.se.'o.RimH8184,oilוְשֶׁ֣מֶןve.She.menH8081,and honeyוּדְבָ֑שׁu.de.VashH1706!”So he refrainedוַיֶּחְדַּ֕ל וְלֹ֥אvai.yech.Dal ve.Lo'H2308 H3808from killing themהֱמִיתָ֖םhe.mi.TamH4191withבְּת֥וֹךְbe.TokhH8432the othersאֲחֵיהֶֽם׃'a.chei.HemH251.
