22Forכִּ֣יkiH3588I was ashamedבֹ֗שְׁתִּיVo.she.tiH954to ask the kingהַמֶּ֙לֶךְ֙ha.Me.lekhH4428forלִשְׁא֤וֹלlish.'olH7592an escort of soldiersחַ֣יִלCha.yilH2428and horsemenוּפָרָשִׁ֔יםu.fa.ra.ShimH6571to protect usלְעָזְרֵ֥נוּle.'a.ze.Re.nuH5826fromמִן־min-H4480our enemiesמֵאוֹיֵ֖בme.'o.YevH341on the roadבַּדָּ֑רֶךְba.Da.rekhH1870,sinceכִּֽי־ki-H3588we had told himלַמֶּ֜לֶךְla.Me.lekhH559 H4428, “The handיַד־yad-H3027of our Godאֱלֹהֵ֤ינוּ'e.lo.Hei.nuH430is graciousלְטוֹבָ֔הle.to.VahH2896toעַל־'al-H5921allכָּל־kol-H3605who seek Himמְבַקְשָׁיו֙me.vak.ShavH1245,but His greatוְעֻזּ֣וֹve.'u.ZoH5797angerוְאַפּ֔וֹve.'a.PoH639is againstעַ֖ל'alH5921allכָּל־kol-H3605who forsake Himעֹזְבָֽיו׃'o.ze.VavH5800.”

23So we fastedוַנָּצ֛וּמָהva.na.Tzu.mahH6684and petitionedוַנְּבַקְשָׁ֥הva.ne.vak.ShahH1245our Godמֵאֱלֹהֵ֖ינוּme.'e.lo.Hei.nuH430aboutעַל־'al-H5921thisזֹ֑אתZotH2063,and He granted our requestוַיֵּעָתֵ֖רvai.ye.'a.TerH6279.

24Then I set apartוָאַבְדִּ֛ילָהva.'av.Di.lahH914twelveשְׁנֵ֣ים עָשָׂ֑רshe.Neim 'a.SarH8147 H6240of the leadingמִשָּׂרֵ֥יmi.sa.ReiH8269priestsהַכֹּהֲנִ֖יםha.ko.ha.NimH3548,together with Sherebiahלְשֵׁרֵֽבְיָ֣הle.she.re.ve.YahH8274,Hashabiahחֲשַׁבְיָ֔הcha.shav.YahH2811,andוְעִמָּהֶ֥םve.'i.ma.HemH5973tenעֲשָׂרָֽה׃'a.sa.RahH6235of their brothersמֵאֲחֵיהֶ֖םme.'a.chei.HemH251,

25and I weighed outוָאֶשְׁקֳלָ֣הva.'esh.ko.lahH8254to themאֶת־'et-H853the contributionתְּרוּמַ֣תte.ru.MatH8641of silverהַכֶּ֥סֶףha.Ke.sefH3701andוְאֶת־ve.'EtH853goldהַזָּהָ֖בha.za.HavH2091andוְאֶת־ve.'EtH853the articlesהַכֵּלִ֑יםha.ke.LimH3627that the kingהַמֶּ֙לֶךְ֙ha.Me.lekhH4428,his counselorsוְיֹעֲצָ֣יוve.yo.'a.TzavH3289,his leadersוְשָׂרָ֔יוve.sa.RavH8269,and allוְכָל־ve.kholH3605the Israelitesיִשְׂרָאֵ֖לYis.ra.'ElH3478thereהַנִּמְצָאִֽים׃ha.nim.tza.'ImH4672had offeredהַהֵרִ֙ימוּ֙ha.he.Ri.muH7311for the houseבֵּית־beit-H1004of our Godאֱלֹהֵ֗ינוּ'e.lo.Hei.nuH430.

28Then I toldוָאֹמְרָ֣הva.'o.me.RahH559themאֲלֵהֶ֗ם'a.le.HemH413, “Youאַתֶּ֥ם'a.TemH859are holyקֹ֙דֶשׁ֙ko.deshH6944to the LORDלַיהוָ֔הla.Yah.wehH3068,and these articlesוְהַכֵּלִ֖יםve.ha.ke.LimH3627areholyקֹ֑דֶשׁKo.deshH6944.The silverוְהַכֶּ֤סֶףve.ha.Ke.sefH3701and goldוְהַזָּהָב֙ve.ha.za.HavH2091are a freewill offeringנְדָבָ֔הne.da.VahH5071to the LORDלַיהוָ֖הla.Yah.wehH3068,the Godאֱלֹהֵ֥י'e.lo.HeiH430of your fathersאֲבֹתֵיכֶֽם׃'a.vo.tei.KhemH1.

30So the priestsהַכֹּהֲנִ֣יםha.ko.ha.NimH3548and Levitesוְהַלְוִיִּ֔םve.hal.vi.YimH3881took charge ofוְקִבְּלוּ֙ve.ki.be.LuH6901the silverהַכֶּ֥סֶףha.Ke.sefH3701and goldוְהַזָּהָ֖בve.ha.za.HavH2091and sacred articlesוְהַכֵּלִ֑יםve.ha.ke.LimH3627that had been weighed outמִשְׁקַ֛לmish.KalH4948to be takenלְהָבִ֥יאle.ha.Vi'H935to the houseלְבֵ֥יתle.VeitH1004of our Godאֱלֹהֵֽינוּ׃ פ'e.lo.Hei.nuH430in Jerusalemלִירוּשָׁלִַ֖םli.ru.sha.LimH3389.
